You are a bandwagon Floyd hater homie. What you just posted is what I have been reading on Boxingscene for YEARS! Floyd ducked Cotto and Margarito? Yeah right. Cotto was at the Gatti fight with Hatton and witnessed what Gatti got. They were supposed to be next up but guess what? Floyd moved up because Hatton and Cotto didn't want to fight him...
Sounds familiar? It should because that was Bob Arum who didn't want Cotto to fight Floyd at 140. How could Floyd duck a guy Arum hid from him? Also, If Bob would have made the Oscar De La Hoya fight then Margarito/Cotto could have got it.......
Floyd was waiting for Manny to accept the random blood tests request and the fight would have been on. I think Manny fans are just talking and flapping their gums at this point because it is plain as day that Pac ain't accept ****! So technically he is the one that doesn't want the fight. Bob Arum has and always been the reason why fights between his guys and Floyd didn't happen. Pac fans need to stop reaching because they cannot prove anything they spew.
"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."
Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.
Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.
"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."
