Always, at all times. This fight would be dynamite, no confident prediction for me either way.

And that says a ton considering a 10-7 round. These guys that think Rios beats L. Peterson are hilarious. Especially considering how close the fight with Anthony was before he got DQ'd by the great Russell Mora.

We can't even gauge how great Rios' chin is since he never faced real hitters aside Antillon. He's been taking the Donaire (at '18) route by beating up naturally smaller fighters. At '40, it gets much more honest with talent, intellect, and physical ability, there. Something Lamont Peterson has all of.

There's a reason he's been trying to stay at '35 for as long as possible.

The Anthony Peterson fight wasn't that close, only for the first few rounds, and Rios was coming on and beating his ass more and more, which is why Anthony started throwing cheap low blows to get disqualified.

And Acosta is a good puncher. Rios took his shots like they were pillows.

I really can't say who'd win except for the fans. It would be very exciting. I wish that I could forget all the fights that Rios had won, just because of this last 1 & act like he's garbage. But then even Peterson got his a$$ creamed from Bradley & he's now flossing Khan's old belt.

I agree that Rios was coming on strong... and I also believe A. Pete is a fighter who either will box all fight or engage, and in the fight with Rios he wouldn't be able to flip the switch and box. But that's where Lamont excels, he's able to switch up his style throughout a fight.

As far as Acosta, I disagree. He had a padded record outside the Antillon fight.

Its a bad match up for Rios IMO. Antillon was already sluring his words before the Rios fight, has no defense at all, and is phyiscally much bigger than Antillon. Peterson has much better defense than Antillon and is taller and rangy kind of like Abril. I think it would be a good fight with Peterson winning a UD or later stoppage. Peterson isn't a big puncher but Rios is wide open and Peterson's body work pays dividends later in his fights.
And Rios showed in his last fight that he can't really adjust while Peterson has shown he can make the right adjustments. Rios won't dominate 140 IMO.

At all. There's too many bigger, stronger, more intelligent fighters at '40. Rios' style is built off imposing his will... won't happen at at jr. welter.
