it only works but so long, it's a exciting style but one that doesn't keep you on top very long , it will come a go .....

Guys like Brandon Rios and Juan Manuel Lopez , even Maidana...

Without a lick of defense you wont be what people are hyping you up to be, you'll just be exciting , fighters like that all have a moment where they get outclassed by a wide margin or either take a vicious KO.
Disagree, inside fighting is a skill. Rios is pretty damn good at it, but when when it comes to fighting the best boxers at 135(JMM) and 140 he would get his ass handed to him.

Vazquez is very underated and his style is all wrong for Rios I think Arum knows this too which is why there havent been any talks about unification since Marquez and Guerrero are occupied atm who else would heir be with a title only Vazquez but still no talks instead Mercito gets his chance to lose his 0.

People here saying he would run through Maidana are pretty dumb, if Rios fights Maidana the way he fought Antillon he has a good chance to get dropped im pretty sure Madiana hits harder than Acosta(who hurt Rios) and Antillon. He also has the chance to beat Maidana but people are making it seem like he would dominate and thats not the case. Only people who give Maidana problems are boxers that use alot of movement. I have a feeling Guerrero is gonna fight like Khan and possibly outwork El Chino for a UD. But that still doesnt mean Maidana wouldnt be a dangerous opponent for anyone. I think he lost to Erik Morales or at least a draw but it is what it is and hopefully we can get that rematch sometime soon.

I know Rios got the balls to fight Maidana and that would be an incredible fight I wouldnt know who to favor. Hopefully Maidana beats Guerrero and him and Rios duke it out in November/December. Me personally id favor Maidana, but if Rios carries his power to 140 and applies crazy pressure then he could easily pull the upset.
no he doesn't because maidana can't fight on the inside at all. maidana's only good when he has you at the end of his punches. look what happened when he got close to khan.....nothing! if rios fights maidana phone booth style he would tear him up because maidana is completely square. morales figured out toward the middle rounds if you crowd maidana he can't get off because he punches too wide. rios would be in maidana's chest the entire fight and maidana seems too ****** to realize he is smothering himself because he keeps trying to fight there instead of resetting. unless maidana catches rios with a big shot coming in he would be beaten to a pulp.

I stayed up way past 5am to catch the Rios fight on Saturday because i Like watching him, but whilst Khan has a shaky chin I think he would outclass Rios and win a lopsided decision. Rios vs Maidana is a totally different match up that I would love to watch and I think Rios has far better skills then Maidana, but Maidana is for real and won't go away easily, so it would be one hell of a fight.

Rios vs Maidana or Rios vs Alexander - make it happen.

I like this too before Alexander, Khan or Bradley in that order. If he's lucky, he may get the Pac or May sweeptakes

Without a doubt, inside fighting is a great skill and Rios is so accurate inside.

I think the kid is learning and bettering himself but I agree, if he fights someone that is a much better boxer it will be tough for him. His chin and power will keep him in a lot of fights though.

Rios would get his ass kicked at 140. The guys is a touch brawler, but extremely easy to hit.

Bradley or Khan would school him all day long. Maidana would KO him also IMO.

Mike Alvarado would destroy Rios. knock him TFO!!! Rios barley made it past Manny Perez from Denver. I would love to see this fight (Rado vs Rios). Ever since i seen rios clowning on Freddie Roach I lost all respect for him. Personally I think Rios is a puss. I hope he moves to 140. He'll get F'd up real nice at that weight.

You always have to give a guy a winning chance against anybody when he demonstrates a solid chin, power, ridiculous stamina, and so much pressure.

Maidana tires at times...thats when bam bam can get him.

Bam Bam can finish off what Maidana couldn't against Khan. Khan tends to brawl at times...big no no if he faces Rios.
