Joe Calzaghe is currently: 40-0-0 (31 ko's), he's won and defended his WBO belt 18 times on the bounce over the last 8yrs. He's beaten 5 World champions.
Jeff Lacy maybe the flavour of the month, but all he's done is beat an old shop worn Reid and an old shop worn Shieka. (Both of which Calzaghe beat 5-7yrs ago when they were in their primes).
Calzaghe has beaten World champion since beating Shieka and Reid.
You must see the difference between the two???

Boxing doesn't work that way. You have to earn those belts... The way Ricky Hatton had to walk through fire to get his hands on them. The way Judah had to accept $100,000 in Corey Spinks's hometown.
Psssst... Word around the camp fire, is that Bernard lost his last fight to Jermain Taylor and lost all his belts.
All I can say to you is, this isn't a popularity contest!

Originally posted by Martin (Top Knowledge)Mayweather's resume is better than Judah's aswell, so by what your saying... Maweather could move to 147lbs, not fight anyone besides say, an old Shamba Mitchell and then move on to 154lbs all the while being "the man" of those divisions?

Originally posted by The Golden BoyOK, i agree Hatton is the man at 147 but Mayweather is the man p4p. Hatton's reign as the man will end as soon as he meets Mayweather in the ring.
Originally posted by The Golden BoyIf it wasn't a popularity contest then Hopkins wouldn't have got ****ed out of his belts. I hope the people around the camp fire fall in and get 3rd degree burns to 83% of their body!!!Last edited by Martin (Top Knowledge); 10-06-2005, 07:54 AM.Comment

These aren't paper champs.
Charles Brewer - Has 8 losses including Mario Veit and Lolenga Mock. Only noteable win against fringe contender Scott Pemberton. Paper champ
Richie Woodhall - No noteable wins, backyard fighter who got KO'ed in his 1 and only fight in the US. Paper champ
Beat an over the hill Eubank in 1997 and Reid in 1999. How long can you ride your only credible victory?Last edited by The Golden Boy; 10-06-2005, 08:21 AM.Comment
