Well I don't consider WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO paper champs, especially as they all won and defended their crown numorous times.

But at the end of the day... Back to the discussion, Can Jeff Lacy lay claim to anything near this level of competition?

The answer is "NO"

And so people that pick Lacy as the man @168lbs are either unaware of any fighter's achievements ouside the U.S. or are merely picking a popularity contest.

I'm mean don't get me wrong, I think Jeff Lacy is great... I love watching him fight, and I'm looking forward to watching his career, but lets not get too carried away with his ranking at this stage.
