IMO any fighter is a warrior. Just start boxing, get couple of good shots in a had and dont quit, and you will get me.
Lets get the label "WARRIOR" correct!

And also, you follow his actions and how he's scared **** of PAC, he rarely mentions his name.
Bottomline, right now, people are already asking, when are you gonna fight PAC, if that remains unanswered, people will say BArrera is chicken **** afraid.
Again just plain common sense.Comment

I have no proffessional or amatuer experience but I have definately put on the gloves many times.
Nothing to brag about for sure, I have fought about 15 sperate fights in the ring, none of which went over six rounds, Im 27 right now and have not put on the gloves in 5 years.
Like I said earlier maybe there are two seperate kinds of warriors, Roy Jones type warriors and Chico Corrales type warriors, if you cant see the difference between the two then Im sorry but there is certainly a difference.Comment

Originally posted by cvti agree there is a difference in style. but i think their intesity of training and sacrifice are similar. i don't think you're a warrior simply because you like to trade shots anyone who does step in the professional ranks is indeed risking their health and their lives. i can honestly say that being hit with oversized padded gloves and a helmet against a 'weekend warrior' does not compare to a professional who hits you with smaller gloves because he needs to feed his wife and kids...belive me, it'a a big difference.
Take last Saturday for an example...had Roy taken a few good shots early I have no doubt he would have quit(just like he did against Johnson-Roy was done after the 1st round because a guy came to fight)...to me that is a pretty weak warrior, last weekend we saw some pretty weak warriors.
This weekend we will watch two men who have prepared themselves both physically and MENTALLY to go to hell and back in order to achieve victory, maybe it is the mental part that puts them in another league, sure Roy prepared physically but in at least his last two outings he was not prepared mentally to win and isnt that every bit an ingredient of a warrior as the phsysical?
Who gives a **** if you lace up gloves for battle if you have no intention on making it a battle, thats not a warrior thats an idiot/fake!Last edited by scap; 10-06-2005, 04:00 PM.Comment
