Paul "The Overrated" Williams is exactly that. Ask me how I know? It's simple I have watched him fight.

I wouldn't call a guy with wins over Antonio Margarito, Winky Wright and Sergio Martinez "overrated". And Williams did it without catchweights or rehydration stipulations.
He's definitely rough around the edges. I written about this. He has a lot to be desired concerning his defense and setting up shots, but the kid has got natural talent that could be honed into greatness.
Anyone who would write Williams off for getting caught by a great shot by Sergio Martinez should go back and watch the fight when Antonio Margarito pummeled Sergio Martinez' asss the fcuk out.
Williams is still green. He's got a lot to learn an the loss will force him and his team to make necessary adjustments they we all saw were needed.Comment

When I first heard of Paul Williams, and before I had seen him fight, it sounded as if he was the baddest man on the planet and then I watch him fight. And overrated is very fitting. He throws way to many arm punches and his boxing skills leave a lot to be desired. As far as his record is concerned. Many of the so called experts think that he actually lost to Margacheato. I also believe he did and I also believe Sergio beat him the first time around. I think that if Sergio had kept a little more pressure on there would have been no doubt in the first fight of who had won. In other words for what ever reason Sergio took his foot off the gas pedal. And when Sergio did fight he made it look easy. In my opinion Williams also gets way to much credit for beating up old men. And with all the talk about him you would have thought he has dominated at least one division. When in fact he is only 2-2 in world title fights. Losing one to a less then elite fighter and getting knocked cold in the other one. And yes he did knock out Quintana. But I believe that was more of a fluke because I even believe that his power is overrated.I wouldn't call a guy with wins over Antonio Margarito, Winky Wright and Sergio Martinez "overrated". And Williams did it without catchweights or rehydration stipulations.
