Not sure how that "owned" anyone. All that reveals is that Pacquiao's side tried and tried to get a floyd fight and floyd "wasn't thinking about boxing" and taking time off. Greenberg talked to guys from both sides, but nothing came of it.
Pac fans are hurting. Fear not, guys! You have Pac versus the old lightweight to look forward to!
Who's hurting? I'm amused if anything. Gary Coleman working overtime doing damage control and leaving out key parts of his 'timeline'.
Maybe you can help me out now since you overlooked my post. Why did the President/Owner of Golden Boy Promotions AKA Floyd's defacto promoter say, on camera, that negotiations were occurring and contracts on the verge of signature. Why did the CEO of the same outfit continually mention the gag order of a non-existent negotiation?
You can even scrap all that and just go to the beginning- why did Floyd not even bother to negotiate and instead went on 'vacation'? How is that not the definition of ducking?

How old are you, twelve? Floyd was on vacay when the Shane fight was made. So obviously that wasn't an issue. You can ask for a fight all you want but if you still need 14 days to recover from a test, whose listening? I saw that novel you wrote...you're hurting

You know you're not gonna get any logical response from a super ***** ****rider ImaDouche.

So he ducked Manny. Went on vacation even before negotiations could take place. Thanks for clearing that up.
*******s just need to give it to the *****s. let them blame pacman. who cares? whole world knows who is the real pu55y.
i don't even know what *****s are mad about when all floyd has to do is fight. clearly, floyd has issues. it's not even about anything. his *****s are too dumb to get it.
A) Did we ever get an actual explanation of why the President/Owner of Golden Boy AKA Mayweather's defacto promotional company would randomly say, on live TV in front of a camera, that negotiations were occurring and contracts were close? How can you be 'misquoted' on camera?
Didn't he say he was getting tired of people asking him about the fight so he spun a tale about negotiations and contracts? Come one now.
B) Did Floyd and co ever explain why they all of a sudden 'weren't thinking about boxing' and didn't bother to enter into negotiations. How is that not a clear duck? Guys are ready to iron out a deal and you just say, '**** that, we takin a year or 2 off'.
C) That timeline is incomplete, some missing details:
Ross Greenburg:
Before the timeline ran out:
"I can't talk about it," Greenburg told Newsday. "I'm right in the middle of shutting everyone down. We have to do it quietly. This cannot get into the papers. If it gets in the papers, all of a sudden, it takes on a life of its own like it did in December and January, and it becomes very difficult to make the fight. We all kind of shook hands and said, 'Let's keep quiet and do it out of the press and get it done.'
"We're going to try to make it happen. That's all I can say."

After Negotiations:
"Both times, the fight was very close to being made. And, the second time around, you know, all that I can say is that you would have to ask Floyd Mayweather why the fight wasn't made. To this day, I really don't know why Floyd decided that he didn't want the fight any more in the fall.
To this day, I don't know why he wanted to take some more time off. Only Floyd has that answer. I certainly don't have that answer. But, you know, it was very close. It was so, so, close. I think that it was so close that I don't think that it's going to take much to make the fight the third time around."
Schaefer, the Golden Boy CEO who has promoted Mayweather's last several fights, has been one of the chief game players if there really were no talks, because he absolutely made it seem clear that talks were going on, time and again. Why else would he talk about a so-called "gag order" in discussing negotiations publicly?
I'd ask him about it and he'd say stuff like, "Talking about the negotiations isn't going to help get the fight made, so I'm not going to talk about them." He'd also say, "Come on, stop asking me about the negotiations. You know I am not going to talk about them."

Team Mayweather after their cover was blown and they had to scramble for reasons they weren't fighting and going on 'vacation' instead. If you recall, not a single mention of drug testing/OST was made until this year (2011):
"I'm not really thinking about boxing right now," Mayweather said. "I'm just relaxing. I fought about 60 days ago, so I'm just enjoying myself, enjoying life, enjoying my family and enjoying my vacation."
“People should be smart enough to realize that he’s in the middle of legal proceedings. His focus and energy is on that, clearing his name, not on making a fight. That’s just common sense," Schaefer said.
“Anything else would be disrespectful to a judge or the legal system. … He could say, OK, let’s fight Pacquiao in May or whenever and make a deal. How would a judge feel about that? You just don’t do that.”
Fighting Manny with trials scheduled would be disrespectful to a judge and the legal system but taking on Ortiz with 4 cases pending AND skipping out on court-mandated depositions is perfectly respectful. LOL.
Instead, Mayweather Sr. suggested it was his son’s fear of Uncle Sam that’s preventing the biggest fight in boxing from taking place this year. “Make a million dollars in one year and see what Uncle Sam gonna do to you. So that’s what I’m talking about. Make $100 million in one year and see what Uncle Sam gonna do,” he would tell FightHype’s own Percy Crawford. “It would be like he ain’t never fought Shane. I’m telling you the real deal of how it is. That is the only reason they didn’t make the fight.”
Can we stop with the revisionist history now? We're just going to get a repeat of that same bull**** come November 13th anyway. All we're going to hear about is how Floyd can't make a fight because of trials, taxes, vacations.
Can't wait. Oh, is Gary Coleman making a timeline for the South Africa negotiations?
wonder why they never posted any of these quotes in the timeline
Does anyone know if fighthyp3 is owned by foxnews
