    Wlads op and the HOF

Will any of the opponents Wlad has faced make the Hall of of Fame and what does this say of his resume and legacy?

None of Wlad's opponents will make the HOF. He has NINE wins over world titileholders now though, and that's not too shabby.

    Byrd x 2
    Peter x 2
    Haye
    Ibragimov
    Rahman
    Mercer
    Chagaev

If I've researched it correctly, Wlad has the most KO wins in heavyweight history over boxers with 20 or more fights who were never stopped before.

If Adamek manages to pull off a close decision win over Vitali, I imagine he'll make the HOF (world champion in three weight divisions). And if he then fights Wlad and is defeated, that might be a win for Wlad over a HOF fighter.

I think it shows just how weak the era is that not even one of his most ardent supporters thinks he has a HOFer on his resume. Personally I think Chris Byrd has the best shot of making it, but its a long shot.

That being said, I don't blame Wlad. He's done what he has had to do but its not something I overlook when judging fighters in a historic sense either.

Because HOF standards are very weak, Adamek would have a shot. Wlad would have to fight him though, if that ever happens. Vitali crushing Adamek probably prevents that.

What, nobody wants to talk about this? A lot of people here calling Wlad one of if not the greatest heavyweight ever. Can anybody name another alltime great heavyweight WITHOUT a hall of famer on his resume?

Adamek would make it. Boytsov might make it too but these are potential future opponents.

Can't thing of anyone on the current resume that could make the HOF except Haye at a push banking on his cruiserweight achievements.

When was the last time that happenned?

Some of the past "all time great" heavyweights fought HOF opponents either 1) when they were past prime or 2) HOF opponents who were not REALLY good enough and shouldn't be in the HOF.

"All-Time Great" is just a matter of opinion anyway, and who got in the HOF is just a matter of opinion too.

Wlad has the most IBF, WBO and IBO HW world title defenses in those organizations' respective history.

There are people who simply don't like the Klitschkos. No matter what Wlad's done or will ever do, they'll find an excuse to not respect him and to not consider him to be a great heavyweight.

He has weak opposition, but he's done everything he could do. He probably doesn't make the top 10 on a rating due to weak opposition, I'm not that good with those kind of ratings so I can't say for sure. I do believe he should be named with the other great heavyweights though, but maybe not the top 10.

This is probably the weakest HW era in the history of the sport.

And, no Wlad is not even close to being the GOAT. He's not even close and maybe never will be a top 10 ATG HW.

People who think that are just overrating the guy.

But, he has had a successful career. He's a damn good fighter. IMO he's a shoe in for the HOF. And, maybe when is all said and done a top 15-20 ATG HW...Which is a compliment and not an insult in anyway. And, Wlad would have been an elite HW in any era. He probably wouldn't be the best in any era. But, would have been elite in any era
