I'm not one to hate on Floyd daily like many do, but we can't ignore that Floyd is an opportunist. Floyd went after Ortiz not after his draw with Peterson, but his win over Berto (who coincidentally is a Haymon fighter) who had been undefeated. Looks a little better on paper doesn't it? I'm not hating on the Ortiz fight at all and think it's probably his best financial option considering who promotes Ortiz. Floyd and his fans can speak on left overs, but unless you're undefeated, you're fighting someone else's leftovers based on how the term is loosely thrown around these days. But to each his own.
