No thats not true. Manny agree to accept OST all of it. He accepted the blood testing as well. I dont know why people seem to forget this.

Where the problem lied was with the cutoff date FOR the blood testing not the blood testing in itself.
I understand this but my point was the blood testing it'self was a crazy demand. What part of that don't you get.

Look, I will repeat myself for the millionth time, I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm not on either's side but the fight would have gone as planned IF Floyd didn't start making demands.

Now you can argue that those demands are lagit and point to the size of Manny's head and hands and all this other BS I read in this place but the bottom line is, if Floyd wanted this fight, it would have been made.

He came out of his ass with the blood testing and the fact that Manny agreed to it from the beginning is amazing to me.

Look I'm not trying to come of as someone who knows everything about boxing but I train in a gym where we have the everyday guy to pro's and most people don't understand what happens in the business aspect of things and how egotistical these fighters and their groups are.

When Floyd started making ACCUSATIONS of ped's and demanding blood tests, it was over for this fight.

The more Floyd talks, the more people don't like him. He does this to himself, with the racist rants, playing the victim and talking about himself in the 3rd person, he's just very likable unless you are like him.
      Who said this?

No one said hes anything like a Prime Chavez. People are calling a spade a spade. Ortiz will get dominated but its the best WW fight that can be made not involving Pacquiao. I haven seen ANYONE hyping him up to that level.

This is boxing you been watching it along time things change overnight in the sport let alone 2 fights ago. Berto-Ortiz winner is the best WW not named Floyd or Pac it is what it is.

Floyd wants to be hated. He said it himself. Anyone who has met the guy, followed him before he made it big, seen the REAL interviews knw thats it all a character that hes playing. He learned it from Vince MacMahon.

And to be fair, floyd came in at 146 for a 144lb bout. He has never, to my knowledge, failed to make weight for a 147 lb fight.
They have penalties but it's nothing new for fighters and camps to ADD to that the way JMM did to Floyd and many other's have.

There's a big distinction between the two.

            1. Timothy Bradley was not as out of place at Welterweight as Ricky Hatton. There was no question that Bradley won his 147 pound debut and he actually had his man hurt or stunned in memory serves. Whereas, Hatton perhaps lost his fight and it was certainly questionable. Big difference.

            2. Pacquiao does have options that could completely shut down Floyd Mayweather after Juan Manuel Marquez. If Ortiz beats Mayweather, then I assume that Manny fights Ortiz next. That would essentially check and mate and kill the legacy of Floyd Mayweather in some peoples eyes. Not mine, but some. Also, there's the chance of facing Saul Alvarez or even taking a HUGE risk with Sergio Martinez at 154. Doubtful, but it's possible. Still, he has options, is the point. Bradley is also a solid choice and if Maidana and Alexander fought, he could easily face the winner and get a credible win. He has plenty of options.

            3. At the end of the day, both fighters need to fight inside of the ring. This contractual bull**** is for *******. They need to stop worrying and swaying or bending to the other. Just fight, then you can dictate the rematch. Otherwise, stop talking about each other.

And that's all this stuff is. The cleaning up the sport ****, this cut off day ****. All of this is just to get the other to listen to them. Just fight, or shut the **** up already.

            It's boring.
Can't green k you at the moment, but very good post

So Manny added and its ok because others have done it. Floyd added in a way no one else had and its too much? I'm sorry but that just doesn't make sense to me.

You can't penalize floyd for being smarter than top rank on this.

Let's say me and you are 1 on 1 street basketball players, we are the best in Miami (I know it's a fantasy white guy and Mexican guy good at basketball)

We travel around Broward and Dade and we play for money. Everyone wants to see me and you play because we are the best of the best down here. Everytime we play, there are basic rules that we follow that don't change.

Then we finally agree on playing and then out of nowhere, I accuse you of being a cheater, I want to play with a different type of ball and in a completely different court that nobody has played before.

We are BOTH huge stars on the street so everyone says we should be 50/50 in everything, yet I am acting like I run the show and start to demand things that have never been demanded.

You have a choice, you can either meet my demands and play me or you can choose not play me saying that you don't have to be forced to agree to anything that has never been agreed to before.

See, I agree I would just like to see Manny take the test but another part of me understands why Roach and Manny are like "*** you Floyd, who the *** do you think you are that you think you can come and force us to do **** that nobody has ever done" I think it's a matter of pride and fighters and trainers have a lot of it.
awesome! whiteys and mexicans run shi t on the parks of sofla!!!!

                  anyway,

about this analogy, I agree, I even put in my first post that the OST move made floyd look bad. and I personally think it was a bit ch move especially because floyd and his team are forever saying how shi tty manny is, BUT they won't fight without these out of the blue demands being met. i even thought that floyd did it specifically to get out of the fight because of the principles of negotiation and the size of the egos involved- and I still think that.

but I think over time, floyd has seen manny looking more vulnerable in the ring, and less impressive. now he's making moves to change all that around and can sway public opinion (and mine as well) because manny is so quiet. those who don't make moves ahead of your opponent and keep doing the same thing, are doomed to fail in a chess match...ask ned stark from game of thrones.

That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. Floyd wants to be DLH, he wants to be Leonard, he wants to be the Golden Boy. The problem is, he can't because he has an annoying and abrasive personality.

He wants you to think he is content in being the bad guy but at every opportunity you see his true feelings come out in personal interviews where he b1tches and whines about why people don't love him and why he should be the greatest American athlete. How it's because he's black that he isn't the #1 athlete in America and nonsense like that.

Floyd isn't that smart to be playing reverse psychology, he truly hates the fact that Manny is loved and he is not.
