Now Booth is making threats that the WBA will refuse to sanction the fight with the chosen referee.

Everyone who knows what a circus the WBA is had been wondering what trick the WBA would pull to keep its belt out of the hands of the Klitschkos. There had been a suggestion they would declare David Haye "superchampion", and award their championship belt to someone else, but that didn't happen. But now they appear to be thinking of a different way to keep their belt under firm control.

You shouldn't take what Booth says so literally. The WBA haven't said anything on the subject.

Lol, yea June 20th, 2009 was an awesome fight that Wlad dominated. It's just too bad Haye wasn't involved because he's a p*ssy.

The division is weak. I don't give a damn about size and weight etc... I give a damn about good boxers and fit boxers, not the fat chumps we have today.

Wlad has a good record, a lot of fights, but he isn't as good as Lewis which I think Steward was aiming at. He did say Wlad had more power than Lewis, but in a weak division.

As for Wlad being someone without Steward, of course he can, but Steward didn't just help his confidence, he taught him to box. As for the Chamber's fight, Steward actually got him to go for the KO. Wlad right now will happily win a 12 rounder as boring as, even when it is clear he can KO a guy. That is why generally people, even boxing fans do not like him in the ring, especially when his brother has much more to offer.

So, who did Lewis beat that would give Wlad such a fight at this day and age, which I consider to be his prime?

I think there's a really big vibe in the air that Wlad will lose this one

1) Stewart doesn't seem to be happy with Wlad right now.
2) Wlad getting bent out of shape and getting pulled in with these mind games
3) Stewart knowing Haye is very dangerous
4) Klitschko's camp seems to be tense
5) Potentially an even bigger fight after this.
6) Wlad struggling with guys who had fast handspeed and power and were tall enough to get to him.
7) Not really a sparring partner who can replicate Haye's style. Steve Cunningham is athletic but haye's style is pretty difficult to copy since he's unpredictable.

Got a huge hunch. This is starting to sound like Liston-Clay to where Liston lost in the build up considering he was shook by Ali's unpredictable nature and alot of people were saying Ali at the time wasn't proven and that Liston already was. I think Wlad's predictable yet effective style can be thwarted. If this was Vitali, I would pick Vitali...but Wlad i feel will be chewing more than he can handle.

Steward isn't two-faced at all, he's just disarmingly honest about giving his opinions, and he wants to see Wlad seriously tested, as do most genuine boxing fans. But he thinks being tested will bring out the best in Wlad.

And he's been a superb influence on Wlad. In the last three years in particular, Wlad has improved tremendously due in large part to Steward's influence.

I tend to agree with this post wholeheartedly.

But..................

Steward does have less confidence in Wlad than I expected him to have after such a long relationship. Honestly, that worries me because I was hoping him and Wlad would continue for a few more years and write some records together.

Look at this Klitschko fan ready to throw Manny under the bus even after all the improvements that he has made in Wlad.

This is why people get annoyed at Klit fans, many of them are fickle front runners with only a passing knowledge of boxing and it's history. Even the history of how one Klit brother got to where he is!

Ok, so we are to just believe anything the brit saint Haye says & be ridiculed or dismiss what he says and be ridiculed.

This is why so many don't like Brittish fans, because they hold blind nationalistic bias no matter what 95% of the time and usually can't see beyond their own shores. It's the reason USoAmerica exists actually.

Steward may have actually said something in jest that Haye twisted and took out of context to make it sound like a serious offer when it wasn't.

Haye: "Manny, the world should get rid of the boring Klitschkos. Wouldn't you love to train someone new? Someone like me?"

Manny: "Oh sure, kid, but only if you beat Wladimir, hahaha!"

Then a few days later:

Haye: "Manny even said he'd love to train me after I've bashed up Wladimir, his own fighter, on July 2. He reckoned that if we joined forces I would be in prime position to take down Vitali later in the year. He was deadly serious about it, too. Of course, as much as I admire Manny, I feel I already have the best coach in world boxing in Adam Booth, but it was nice to receive a compliment from someone so experienced. It's also good to know he has as little faith in Wladimir Klitschko as I do."

Haha, did you just compare Clay-Liston to Wlad-Haye?

Featherfist Clay was 22yro, had only 1 real heavyweight fight on his record (200x2, against 25-11 bum Powell).

Slomo Liston (218 lbs) who was the world titlist after beating 189lbs(!) Patterson was past his prime and quit on his stool after 6 rounds with a fake shoulder injury.

The rematch had an attendance of a lousy 2000+(!)

This is NOTHING whatsoever like crappy Clay (who lost nearly every round) vs old Liston (who lied about his age).

Wlad-Haye is so much bigger than Clay-Liston being live broadcast in 140+ countries.

The only similarity is that one of the boxers is trashtalking while the other isn't.

Never mention a blown up light heavyweight like Clay in the same sentence with an ultraheavyweight like Wlad. And never compare local contests with world wide events.
