id like to see him vs at least 2 top 10 fighters and win maybe 1 in top 10 and another in top 5 then win. before they put his name in the manny or mayweather hat. ortiz win or lose still put in work has other names on his resume. same with bradley. if ortiz is fighting mayweather the only other guy who shoudl be fighting manny besides marquez is bradley.

He whips Ortiz's hyped up ass. I think he'd be a tougher challenge for Floyd too, but oh I forgot Floyd don't do business with Arum. Floyd would beat him though because going life and death with Soto-Karauss showed he can be vulnerable. He won the rematch very convincingly though.

When askd if Jones would be ready for Pacquiao, Arum responded "Thats a stretch..." - thats not a golden ticket.

I know he isn't the best puncher, but again we're talkin' about a guy who has a pretty big frame, is 5'9 and has a 74 reach. Lets say he isn't that big (Which I strongly disagree on) he'd still beat Mike Jones.
he proly cant get down there now, but thats the truth. him and his brother are the same height just about, same wingspan. different builds but that wasnt always the case. lamont was the sacrificial lamb so that the two wlnd fight in the same weight class...ive followed the two for a while. thats the story.

he should have put him in a BIGGER FIGHT to showcase him more instead of having him fight that BUM he fought on Saturday

you can't just throw Mike Jones in with Pacquiao right now and expect people to buy that PPV, need to put him in with Berto or Kell Brook or Jan Zaveck maybe on the undercard of JMM vs Pacquiao

Bring on Kell Brooks - IMO Mike Jones taps KB and KO's KB in 6th or 7th round. IMHO, if a fighter from the UK doesn't have the last name Khan or Haye should just stay in the UK. Froch - your ass will be KO'd by a Westside Rider going by the name of SOG. Kell Brook hasn't fought outside of the UK, and his last fight with N'dou wasn't impressive at all. Brook couldn't put away in 12rds a journeyman with a KO% 49.21; WTF are talking about that Brook will KO MJ??? Are you ****ED!!! MJ has a KO% 76 MJ is 6ft; 72'' reach. Brook has no chance w/Jones. I say bring on Brook, MJ needs some tune up fights to season him up.

I don't know about Khan being great at 147 or not, he too has a lot to work on, but again, crappy division. Trust me, I've been very critical of Khan when it pertains to his skill set, only stating what I'm seeing in both him and Jones.
I have to disagree, both Khan and Jones like to fight on the outside..But I believe Jones would have the edge in power and in fighting..Khan would have the speed..But Khan is not that accurate tbh and Jones put's punches together much better..Jones might even be the stronger of the two which will also play in his favor in this match up..

Jones would also beat Peterson,I believe he would outbox Peterson(and I'm a supporter of Peterson tbh)..

Now, we know who Pac's next opponent will be after Marquez. It won't be Mayweather, Martinez or even Bradley. It will be the best of the young welterweights that has not fought or beaten any significant opponent and one who wouldn't have even been lined up as a sparring partner for Pacquaio a year ago. What a difference a year and the elimination of every stiff in the welterweight division makes!

Mike Jones is getting severely underrated if you think just some average Joe is going to beat him.

In reality he would anybody in the WW division not named Mayweather or Pacquiao a tough fight. Soto Karass is no slouch himself. Who would gave anybody in the WW division not named Mayweather or Pacquiao fits.

Saying that, Jones is not ready for Pac. And, this fight is whack. At least have Jones fight Brooks first. The winner would be true contender status.

Mike Jones is almost 29, it's hilarious ppl say he's not ready for PAC as if he is going to drastically improve or something.

And losing to PAC doesnt hurt anybody's career, just like no one will care that Ortiz got whooped by May.
