Has anyone ever thought that maybe Margarito has been cheating his whole career?

The Mosley attempt at cheating was just that, an attempt. Margo would have been caught long before that if this was regular thing for him.

Hell (this is coming from a huge Tito fan, so fall back Jro ), do you ever question Tito's career?

If not, Naz said that their wrapping was funny too...Turns out, it was. Over Tito's career, many fighters have said they have never, ever been hit so hard. Does that sound fishy to you? No fighter ever said that about Margo. Fighters have only stated that he hits you with so many, that begin to have an accumlative effect. Not to mention, Margo went to the body hard in every fight.
Great post, Margarito wasn't the hardest puncher ever, but he had a lot of stamina and a great chin, so he could go forward throwing shots while taking punches from his opponent. Let's not forget that Margarito was used to throw over 1000 punches per fight.

I'll be honest here, I don't think I ever saw Tito in a boring fight.

              I do.

The reason for that has everything to do with the information that was coming from his own trainer and camp.

Anyone that has follwed Margo know that the man was a beast in training. Leading up to the Mosley fight, Margo was riding a wave of stardum and was touring all over the place. Doing talk shows etc...

After the touring, and a fairly long layoff, Margo was not having a good trainig camp. The word was he was not doing well cutting weight, and looked very slow (yes, slower than what he already was), and not focused at all.

He was trainig very heard to cut the weight two weeks before the fight. As the concern in his camp grew, that is when the information/concern from his camp began to leak.

So I believe that is the reason for the attempt to cheat against Shane. Was Margo in agreement with it? Yes. I have no doubt about that.

James Toney, when people think of prime Toney they think of steroids.

Alot of people think that Shane's prime consist mainly of steroids.

But how about Margarito??? Manny & Floyd both finally agree on something, and it's that Margarito is a big cheater, and Floyd even goes so far to say that we don't know how good Margarito really is.

Is it possible that we have never seen natural Margarito without the loaded gloves, or is it possible that majority of all his reign as the most feared man was due to plaster? People already think he had plaster during the Cotto fight also.

Can we even give Margarito any credit at all?
well, for one, you could give him the pac vs marg fight as the hand wrapping was duly observed by both camps and boxing authorities....

maybe as a sort of redeeming himself, marg did not quit in the fight even with a broken orbital lobe....he had shown the mexican warrior spirit.....

What always stumps me is this:

Why would Margarito wait to cheat in a fight where literally EVERYONE favored him to win?

I remember when he fought Sebastian Lujan on ESPN2.
He ripped the guy's ear off. His gloves were probably loaded.

For the reasons that I just stated. Margo (after the Cotto fight) was finally getting his due/respect.

Doesn't matter if he was favorite or not. If his camp was concerned with his training, and attempted to cheat, due to Margo possibly losing all he had worked for. I really see that as a reason for the attempt.
