Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis: David Haye Can Win With Valuev Strategy

Former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis believes David Haye will need a repeat of his performance against Nikolay Valuev if he is to see off Wladimir Klitschko in their eagerly-awaited unification bout in Hamburg next weekend.

Haye has been struggling to make a fight with Wlad? What a load of crap that is, I don't remember Wlad or Vitali pulling out of a fight with him.

Nope, it won't get another decision like that in Germany.

I really liked Lewis as a boxer, but as a boxing expert he's crap...

The Valuev strategy will never work with Wlad, no way in hell. How ****** is he?

I strongly disagree with Lennox here. No way can Haye win this fight going backwards. Unlike Valuev Wlad can actually move in their. He's faster then given credit for and is very mobile for a man his size. If Haye tries to fight going backwards Wlad will just chase him down and pop his jab in his face. Haye can't give Wlad the centre of the ring.

Lennox thinks Haye can beat Wlad throwing 12 punches a round?

Not happening in Germany. A KO win for Haye is only possible for him to be crowned victorious.

I doubt it, Wlad is no lumbering Valuev.

Regardless, it's not the strategy Haye guaranteed - he's obliged to back up his old promise of coming out and looking to decapitate Wlad from the first bell/blow, or look like an even bigger fassyhole than he's already made of himself.
