    hmm

    LOL...I love armchair quarterbacks.

Fact is, Roy looked like he had a real chance after 5 rounds. He just got wore out. He gets tired too easy after coming down from 200. It was seen in the Johnson fight as well. He just cannot sustain offense like he used to do.

Roy has heart, but no one should encourage him to keep fighting just because he had brief glimpses of his former greatness vs Tarver. Roy was breathing with his mouth open in round 6 and by the time 11 came around when Tarver was really tired, there was no chance in hell for him to stop Tarver. The punches he threw in retaliation were very weak...but at least he tried.

That's a far cry from a try. Gatti vs Mayweather was a try. Tyson vs Lewis was a try. Fight or go the **** home, don't dance and stick your ****ing tongue out when you have absolutely nothing but cowardess to celebrate. You ****ing premadonna lovers are so blinded. The guy was a joke on Sat...plain and simple. Worst effort I have seen in many many years.

        hmm

LOL at the guy with a pic of Gatti in his avatar saying Gatti-Mayweather was a try....yeah right. Gatti got stopped. Roy did not get stopped and is a smarter fighter than Gatti ever dreamt of being.

Do me a favor and never compare Roy Jones with Arturo Gatti.

Primadonna lover...right...what do you know about me? Absolutely nothing. There are plenty of objective fans who are not Roy Jones fans especially and they feel the same way.

        Chill back.

some of you people amaze me. Half you idiots don't even know what heart means. Does heart mean that you gotta do what it takes to win? or does heart means that you gotta fight fist to fist and mix it up? Showing that Roy took this fight shows that he got heart. He didn't mix it up with Tarver because he knew he might get KO'd again and he didn't want to lose. So he strategized and tried to find the best way to beat my dad. By the later rounds, Roy probably realized he wasn't doing enough to win, so in the 11th round, he tried to mix it up a little and he got caught with a right hand by Tarver that badly stunned him. But he still didn't give up and still started punching and landed a good body shot at the end. I think Roy could've done a little more but what do you expect from a man who most people thought he was completely shot and wouldn't last a full 12 rounds with Tarver.

Another ****ing idiot that puts words in people's mouth. I never compared RJJ to Gatti, I compared their efforts in a fight that many thought they had no chance to win. Do you like a basketball player that doesn't try to score, do you like a baseball player that goes to the plate and never swings? You give him credit for being smart and not getting stopped! I didn't know boxing was an IQ test (if so Roy and his pitifully dumb ass would fail miserably). Nor did I think the objective of boxing was to "not get stopped". I actually thought the objective was to make an effort to win. You're just a Pensacola nuthugger, just admit it.

All good dude, we all have our opinions....I just think Roy robbed me a $50. I can see why people love him so much, he was incredible to watch for many years. I wish he woulda stayed home instead of turning in the performance he did.

because he never had to dig deep before the first tarver fight you all assume he has no heart, instead of giving him credit for dominating everyone he ever fought.

yet you give guys like gatti, ward, etc.... all the credit in the world for struggling with F class fighters.

he was out on his feet last night in the 11th round after the right hook and then huge left uppercut, yet some how managed to come right back and throw a few punches. after that he was in trouble again for a while yet still managed to battle back towards the end of the round.

I think Jones can still do a lot in boxing. If he shows up like he did last night and throws more punches he can beat anyone.

his reflexes, speed, defense are all still there.
All those points you got, can I get my loot son?

PS: Roy fought to "not" get knocked out. That's not heart that's a waist of the fans PPV dollar.
