Sturm has one more fight on his TV deal before he can come over to the states again. Macklin definitely deserves a rematch even if this wasn't a "robbery"

I'm tired of this predictable **** though. Once the fight was over, you knew Sturm was going to get the decision. God.

edit: Also from the rounds I saw, Macklin's body work landed consistently. Sturm blocked a lot of shots, but Macklin landed a lot of combinations consistently too.

I gave it to Sturm by a round, but it was a very close fight. Macklin dominated early and Sturm rallied late. The two judges who had it 116-112 got it very wrong. No way should the decision have gone to either fighter by more than two rounds. Really good effort by Macklin, but he just didn't quite have the power in his shots to grind down Sturm enough.

Martinez is going to destroy Sturm if they ever fight. There is no way that Sturm can live with the athleticism of Martinez if he can get beaten to the punch for a lot of a fight by Macklin.

or do you automaticlaly believe that as long as the guy is blocking, the punches dont land? Macklins punches were getting through the guard often on Sturm.



Oh, Macklin was robbed, well thats not good at all.

after rd 11 the Sky channel showed the punch stats as 139-131 for Macklin and no doubt Sturm landed the cleaner harder shots throughout the fight. Perhaps you needs to pay attention to what actually lands

Yeah, arm punches had Sturm's body looking like Rocky's hand after the meat fridge.

Mac's punches lost a lot of steam in the last half of the fight though. Sturm looked like a lobster after the second round lol.

No question Sturm was more precise and he caught a lot in his guard.

Medved I agree that Sturm won, but I scored a couple of rounds very generously towards him.

Macklin did very well, and landed a lot of punches. To say that he was hitting air is ridiculous.

Who did more dmg? Every time Sturm landed on Macklins Face it moved like 10 inches, either Sturm has huge power or Macklin has poor balance.

Macklin blew his load too early. Sturm deserved to win this, 116-113 not that wide, would you have been happier with a 115-114? ALOT of these rounds were CLOSE.

You have neutral people scoring it for Sturm or a Draw, even SKY who is nut hugging Macklin had it a draw.

Why are people screaming outrage? This was a close fight.

Where were you guys when Kotelnik got ROBBED? Devon didnt do 20% of what Sturm did yet got the nod.

Can't give my opinion on the scorecards since I started watching the fight in the 6th round. But I saw a back and forth fight from the 6th-12th and if the majority of had it 5-2 for Macklin at the end of the 7th, then Macklin should have won something like 8-4.

What did you have ALexander-Kotelnik? 120-104? Deducted points from Kotelnik for avoiding 1000 air punches?

Sturm deserved the win, I wouldve been fine with a draw TBH. I had it 116-113 exactly like the 2 judges AND I HATE STURM SINCE HE HIDES.

I had Kotelnik clearly winning the Alexander fight.

Macklin landed FAR more than Alexander did. and Sturm just wasnt active enough, although he certainly won a fair amount of rounds with his cleaner punching.

do you think Sturm's reddened right side and busted up face came stricty from 'arm punches'....? come on man.

You don't win by taking so many shots and not answering back. There were some closer rounds at the end but Macklin won that.

I didn't expect any less from ze germans.
