is david haye's power overrated at heavyweight ?

i mean everybody seems to consider him as A BIG puncher with one punch ko or something , he's yet to put somebody unconscious in the heavyweight division , monte barret was old and has been stopped multiple times before , and it took him 9 rounds to stop grandpa john ruiz , and even at cruiserweight , the last time he had a one punch FLATOUT ko was back in 2005

wlad survived sam peter , what makes you think that all haye needs is to land a haymaker on wlad's chin to end the fight ?

I think he has the power to hurt Wlad. I don't think he'll 1 punch ko him. I was actually thinking about the peter fight the other day. Peter put him down several times and couldn't knock him out. I just don't see Haye being able to win this fight at all honestly.

Barrett is a durable HW. I can't recall somebody putting him out with one shot.

John Ruiz is also extremely durable. Haye hurt him badly in the first and could have got the KO if he had a better training camp.

      Hurt Valuev. Stopped Harrison.

He has good power at HW and enough to hurt Wlad that's for certain.

Its more what he does when he gets Wlad hurt (if) he gets him hurt. He tends to windmill, sometimes thats easy to escape, other times you just get rained down on and stopped

Damn, I was about to make this exact thread.

I think it is, Yes. His power at CW was undeniable, but what has he done at HW?
I mean the Monte Barrett fight and Bonin fight where both totally meaningless,
Bonin's best ever performance was a KO loss to Audley Harrison

And Barrett was nothing to his prime self and was Ko'ed less then a year before fighting Haye by a nobody bum with 12 loses and a 23 percent KO ratio? And cause Haye Ko's Barrett much like that other bum did, he has power? Fuck that.....

And Haye nuthuggers say Ruiz had an "Iron chin," didn't stop David Tua knocking his ass out in one round did it?
Haye was hitting Ruiz with hard flush shots and still struggled to put him down.
Not to mention Ruiz got knocked down and wobbled twice by old ass Andrew Golota.

And Valuev? What evidence is there to say he has a good chin? Much like Ruiz, Valuev spent his entire career avoiding heavy hitters. Looking over his record, I am hard pressed to find a single heavy puncher in a 15-year career. Not one!

WTF? Barrett was ktfo out cold in the second round by a bum with a 25-12-2 record and 23% KO ratio less then a year before Haye sparked him.

              Stopped Harrison?
