Toney is #3 right now at heavyweight for me. Only behind Vitali and Lamon Brewster.

He is NOT #1 Pound for Pound.

You can say it until you're blue in the face, but it doesn't change the fact you're the only one who thinks that.

3rd time now: If Toney starts to unify titles, then he'd have a case.

As it is right now, it's Floyds spot.

Again, find ONE person who'd agree Toney should be # 1 Pound for Pound in all of boxing.

I like Toney, but that's very premature at this point.

I dont care if you disagree. But I think there is a strong case that Toney should be #1 P4P or at the worst #2.

If he beat Brewster he is undisputed #1 P4P and I think he would kill Brewster. Brewster has power, but not much footspeed or handspeed. Toney has a stellar chin and his skills and handspeed would tear Brewster apart. And make no mistake I think Brewster is a very good fighter. Just he matches up bad against Toney, so do most, I only see Vitali, Wlad and Byrd to give him problems.

Start a Pound for Pound thread and see how many people have him in the top 5.

I wouldn't say it's as outrageous as declaring him #1,

but the majority of lists I've seen have him 9-20.

He's been at Heavyweight for a few years now and has been inactive (like most top Heavys) due to injury.

I just don't see him very high on the pound for pound lists without titles.

That should tell you how credible of a notion that is.

I dont care if "they" or "people" whoever you are referring to, these mythical beings agree with me or not. Toney has a strong strong strong case as being no less than #5 P4P by any objective standard.

I said you wouldn't find anyone who'd agree with you that Toney is unequivacably # 1 pound for pound.

Now you're waffeling and saying top 5.

                I can give you that.

But saying he's #1 and acting like it's factual was a stretch.

Don't get me wrong, if JT unifies the Heavyweight titles, I think he makes a very strong case.

But currently his inactivity, injuries, and no contest in the Ruiz fight exclude the possibility of a credible argument listing him as # 1 in all of boxing.

Evander Holyfield bulked up from Cruiser to fight at Heavyweight. Is he not a heavyweight?

Again, fighting successfully at Heavyweight makes you a Heavyweight. Toney in optimum shape is about 220-225 at this point, and that's very solid for him.

Yes he's short, but so are a lot of Heavyweights. Tyson was short, Tua was short.

The bottom line is that it's not about the weight, it's about viably and consistantly fighting in the division.

You can harp on his fights at Heavy for being weak all you want. They're just as credible as any of the "Title Holders" last 4 fights.

Toney is a legitimate and credible top 5 Heavyweight.

Byrd's at least 3 inches taller than Toney, and relatively solid. Holy was inarguably solid as he has been his whole career. Toney is a true heavy now, but is he solid? At least Tua had a punch lol

I dont think Bozo is too lenient on letting certain fans get away with saying certain things. Regardless of any of that, Bozo's commentary on fights are far better than anyone else on here, generally its unbiased because ive seen him say good things about fighters he hates, but when people are reaching for more than they are gonna get, its when things usually divulge into flame wars.
Certain fans are over the top, but Bozo is undoubtedly biased and has been since he first appeared here. Why does he stalk Klit threads? Niether of the Klits have shown where they're going in the heavyweight division, but he continues to attack what they've done so far, and has even compared them to Lewis, who has already ended his career. IMO, Bozo is every bit as over the top as the extreme Klit fans.
