Evander is a small heavyweight. Usually weighing in the range of 213 or so pounds. But look at the difference in frame.
Evander is ****in 6'2 and fought at cruiserweight. Toney is ****ing 5'9. And your right, it has to do with frame/weight, both of which for floyd are small things. Natural weight for a fighter means alot. Its unhealthy to jump up and fight at some ungodly weight, its tough on the body, tough on the everything to excert yourself at some unhealthy level, and youll maximize injury.
And despite that small frame he is a dominant force at heavyweight. To me that is why he is #1 P4P.
No, you dont understand, Toney's frame is NOT SMALL, hes a short and stocky guy capable of naturally walking around at 230 even at 5'9. Floyd is not stocky, hes a little dude, with a little frame and you can tell by looking at him. Floyd doesnt have nowhere the frame that Toney does. Thats my whole point.
He is #1 P4P. Look at his frame. Yet he is without a doubt one of the top guys at heavyweight. If you picked James Toney to defeat Wladimir Klitschko, John Ruiz (again), Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter. Nobody in their right mind would think you were making a ridiculous contention.
Toney is #3 right now at heavyweight for me. Only behind Vitali and Lamon Brewster.
Toney is definitely a top 5 P4P fighter. If he somehow beats Vitali then he's #1 without a doubt IMO. In fact, Floyd really would have to beat a top middleweight to compete with JT beating the man most recognize as...well "the man" at heavyweight.
