And originally, a catch-weight was out of the question.

Come on man, EVERYBODY knows that Manny is a natural JWW, and that Ariza cannot keep any weight on Pac when he is training. He has to eat 6 meals a day and 3am/6am shakes to remain within the welterweight limit.

It would be FAR EASIER for Manny to fight Marquez at 140, and it is plainly obvious that Marquez is less effective above 135.

Pac is lovely, but lets keep it real here.

This has been debated before, Marquez made a big mistake with Floyd by trying to match Floyd meat for meat, Marquez gained so much weight that he became slow and sluggish. With Manny, Marquez just need to approach it as a lightweight or JWW fighter, disregarding the 144lbs catchweight and by fight night he will be at his healthy 146lbs, while Manny will be at not more than 148lbs... Then we'll have the fight that we wants...

HBO knows that Pac is the biggest cash cow in boxing. No one else in history has sold over 1 million PPV's in one fight for 4 years in a row. Not De la hoya. Not Tyson. Not Mayweather. NOBODY.

And HBO knows that its very likely that this might be the last fight for Floyd ever because hes probably going to jail for felony assault on his baby momma and kids. And Martinez can't sell **** to a flies and GBP can't promote PPV's (unless its mayweather) just look at the numbers Maidana/Morales did or Mosley/Mora. Cotto vs Mayorga doubled both those fights combined.

And HBO had to bring out the big guns aka the chief executives because they know that CBS is one of the biggest sports channels in the fall and would be HUGE for promoting a major boxing event. I'm curious to know what HBO is planning on doing extra to promote this fight that would rival a commercial during a college football game on Sat and a NFL game on SUN. Show 24/7 replays on TBS? Lmao GTFOH because they would have to censor all the curse words and it would look lame

FACT: Pac has only ever fought TWO welters at 147, one was an old man and the other one was a bum. Neither were ranked higher than 4, and neither should have been in the top 5.
