LOL...your funny.
First of all....I don't think beating Saul Roman should give you a tittle shot. Especially not against a SUPERSTAR like Canelo.
Canelo is in a level where he only fights recognizable NAMES!!!!
Vanes has not made a name for himself...He struggles in beating mediocre opposition and that has not helped him very much either.
Beat somebody good and Canelo will come...
Get past an Angulo, Williams, or Cintron then you can play with the big boys. But until then...STFU!
Gomez has scrapped with good opposition...Cotto, Gatti, karras, and castillo....
Please tell me...what's on Vanes Resume? Besides the Ouma robbery?
Canelo is at a level where he fights blown lightweight and junior welterweights
Vanes' resume is 100X stronger than Canelo's... (ouma, Greene, Tsurkan, Roman all legit 154's vs one legit 154 in Rhodes who any of the four named for vanes would beat)
Gomez huh.... do you realize he fights at 140 and 147... if he wants recognizable names why doesnt he fight a legit 154 like Trout, after all Trout did walk into his hometown and beat the **** out of his brother... or how bout a Lara, hes pretty recognizable isnt he? the bottom line is golden boy is protecting him against bums and lightweights and i have no problem with that... eventually he will either have to vacate or face his mandatory...Comment

Man I wish Canelo would fight Vanes just so the pair of Armenians here would shut the **** up. If Canelo is a hype job what does that make Vanes? He hasn't fought anyone good. I wasn't really impressed in the Roman fight, I mean after watching Roman lose so many times in TV azteca I was actually surpriced he dropped Vanes in the first, the same round that Roach says vanes would beat Alvarez.Comment

Thats right ARG!! Joe Green was unbeaten/former amateur star and a TRUE 154 pounder and Vanes dominated. They are protecting Canelo. Mayorga has not beaten anyone of note in almost 10 years! Gomez is much smaller. Canelo's team today ADMITTED they were protecting him!!! He nees to give up the title! Trout beat a BIG dangerous 154 pounder too in Lopez.Comment

Yeah it was a pitty he took the fight with days notice he gassed badly against Wolak.Comment

I'd rather seem him fight mayorga than gomez :/...but I don't get why they feel the need to further groom his abilities by matching him up against meager opposition. In fact, I think he's already prepared to face off against better opponents like vanes. ughh.Last edited by Bermuda; 06-22-2011, 04:48 PM.Comment

I looked them up and they were hyped up too.The first time they fought a live fighter they got beat. People believe in Hypes even when they see that his fights are set up and then act suprised when the bubble bursts.Comment
