Comments Thread For: Saul Alvarez's Trainer: Alfonso Gomez Another Option

Edison Reynoso, the trainer of WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, added Alfonso Gomez (23-4-2, 12KOs) to the list of possible options for his boxer on September 17. A few days ago, Alvarez's manager Jose "Chep" Reynoso mentioned former champion Ricardo Mayorga as a possible candidate, but Gomez would certainly come at a much cheaper price. Team Alvarez are looking for opponents to further groom their fighter's abilities. Alvarez returned last Saturday in Guadalajara to stop manadatory challenger Ryan Rhodes in the twelfth round.

About time for the big fight......

Are they trying to protect Alvarez. It is about time that he fights a big name. He keeps fighting guys that are not on his level. Gomez? Mayorga? C'mon. Mayorga is a bum and keeps talking loud to get fights. He cannot beat any talented fighters.

theyre avoiding Vanes like hes the plague... Sulaiman gave vanes the silver belt in case his little boy lost to Rhodes then he would force Rhodes to fight Vanes, now hes all mum about the mandatory getting his shot... i wish more boxers would have the balls to sue the WBC like that guy did in the 1990's for screwing him over for his mandatory shot...

why does he keep fighting fighters that are natural 140 and 147...? at least vanes has never fought a blown up fighter... and yes he definitely is ducking vanes... if hes not then why isnt he fighting him? its a very simple ****in formula... vanes is your mandatory, hes called you out, top rank has said Vanes will go to Mexico to fight this bum, ... i mean if you dont consider this ducking then what the hell do you consider ducking... what the **** is his reason for not wanting to fight vanes and prove Roach and Vanes wrong and answering all his critics including me... money isnt it since Vanes is willing to go to Mexico in his village and fight him, or they can sell out staples center and surely canelo will get majority of the money... please stop thinking with your **** and heart and think for a minute with that peabrain you got and respond intelligenly to what i pose to you...
