    I think Ortiz being a lefty really caused problems for Berto...

    And Ortiz being faster throwing combinations...

        i agree. ain't takn anythn away frm ortiz but frm what i read i believe berto took training camp easy.

        that's y u have 2 give it 2 JCC Jr. 43-0 it's easy 2 slip but he is always on top of his game. floyd too.

            Problem when facing a southpaw, is that you generally have to open him up by being more aggressive, but when you're more aggressive, you're obviously more exploitable defensively, and Berto heightens the concern in this regard, as he gets square, throws wider shots, and doesn't have a great chin, which doesn't bode well when you gotta be aggressive against a straighter puncher who has power.

                    You just gotta give credit to Ortiz for bringing it, and shame on Berto for taking those 4 rounds off on the ropes acting like macho man. I like Berto and want to see him back in the ring, but he disgusted me with his gameplan of waiting for Ortiz to get tired and laying on the ropes like an idiot.

                    Ortiz had the superior gameplan, Berto had a poor gameplan. When Berto boxed, he looked really good, when he just stood there like a Pinata, he gave Ortiz free rounds.
