  • Haye has the style to give Wladimir plenty of problems, but does he have the substance to back it up? We'll see July 2nd.

He's 6'3 fast, explosive, and hits hard. Many of Wladimir's opponents weren't tall enough to even reach his chin, that isn't the case with Haye. There is only a 3" size difference between the two, it's like someone who is 5'7 fighting someone who is 5'10. And Haye is a pretty large 6'3 heavyweight too, he's much bigger than Chamber and Povetkin.

You and I already have a 3 mill bet on the Klitschko-Haye fight, if you'd like to increase it to 10 mill I'm OK with that. You can PM me and we can keep things on a friendly basis. As I think I told you, this is the first fight I have ever bet on, on ths site, and in fact have only bet on a fight one in my life, on the Sam-Peter W Klitschko 1st fight, where I won a largish amount.

It was an obvious choice, with little chance of loss, and, by the way, this fight showed that Klitschko has a GOOD chin, as I've been saying all the time.
sam peter are you serious the sam peter i watched with no lateral movement no head movement.

haye is a completley different fighter with much better attributes he won't be there to be hit like peter was.

both haye and wladimir are chinny hayes been down a few and wlads been down around 11 or so hes had more fights ill give you that but that stigma is still there.

i will give credit where its due vitali klitschko is a great fighter solid chinned some could say unbeatan i'd have to agree the fight should of been aloud to continue vs lewis from another point of view he could have been disfigured for life if it carried on vanilla sky kind of disfigured.

wladimir on the other hand i cant rate at all i seriously can't if he beats haye well done to him and cong**** if he doesn't it kindah makes his whole career look well horrible.

Recently wladimirs personality transplant now i like that we should of seen this kind of personality from him a while back i have to admit although i don't rate his career i am starting to like him as a person who knows maybe he just needs a fighter like haye to bring the best out of him some times fighters can fight at there opponents level insted of there own higher level wladimir falls in that bracket

              • It's gotta sting a little when even a respected and knowledgeable boxing man like Freddie Roach calls you boring.

Wlad did used to let his hands go a lot more. He threw more punches in the 1st 3 rounds of the Mercer fight than Haye did in 12 rounds vs Valuev.

I am a big fan of the Klitschkos but I don't deny that Wlad can be boring, I just believe that most of the reason is his opponent's refusal to take risks and bring the fight to him.

Ultimately the criticism about him being boring is fine, unless it's coming from Haye fans. Haye's fights against Valuev and Harrison were worse than even Wlad-Ibragimov... and those fights were boring because of Haye whereas Wlad's fight against Ibragimov was boring cause his opponent didn't want to fight.

I also have admitted Wlad can be boring -- but that's not enough for the Gayemaker contingent, who magnify every flaw of Wlad's but see nothing but perfection in their hero.

The "boring" charge is being overplayed against Wlad, though: it's not so much a couple duff fights of his as it is people who don't like him and his brother no matter how they fight being bored of them winning all the time. That's the real issue.

Not when you know that the reason he's saying it is because you dumped his ass back in 2003.
