As I don't bet on fights and don't really care if I have points or not, sure, I'll bet all my points on a Wlad win, but I'm not giving odds or betting on KOs, etc. Straight bet -- Wlad beats Haye.

They got back on HBO because Ross Greenberg's idea of not having HW fights was a disaster and he still might be canned for the mess he made of their boxing programming.

They are now open to showing Klitschko fights with top contenders, ie, Wlad-Haye, Vitali-Adamek, both of which they are showing live. So as Haye is a top contender, you can say he is one reason why they are back on. But so is Adamek.

        Vitali--Arreola, btw, was HBO's top-rated fight of 2009.

            • Vitali vs. arreola is not just the top rated fight of 2009, HBO hasnt had a fight reach those ratings since. Wlad and Vit were taken off HBO because of where they fight, not how they fight. If they fight in any U.S. time zone they will put up great numbers, if they fight at 10 am PST time saturday morning or on tape delay where 95% of real boxing fans know the result or already watched it streaming, they get bad ratings. Fairly simple. Wlad vs. Haye is such a big event it could be taking place on the moon and broadcast at 4:18 am sunday morning after xmas and it would get good ratings for HBO.

It would be nice if after every major fight all the ******s vanished like magic, but experience has shown it to be precisely the opposite.

I'm expecting a ******* of excuses from the losing side, whoever they might be. Among other things.

                  • Wladimir is a boring fighter (we all know that) but he is great at imposing his style. Wladimir before he was knocked out was actually an entertaining fighter, ever since his KO losses, he's been forced to fight the way he does.
