Bam bam has fought nothing but B, C and D level boxers.

Acosta was a B level boxer-puncher and was wrecking Rios in the first few rounds.
Imagine what a strong power-punching sharp-shooter like Soto would do to Rios.
and then all the Rios supporters would say: "Rios was still young, and it was too soon to put him in there with solid champion like Soto".

Rios needs to get through the gatekeepers and earn his right to Soto's WBC title, just like Soto had to become the #1 mandatory contender to get a shot at the WBC title.

What??? you want the #3 WBC Ranked-Rios to "cut-in-line" in front of the WBC #2, and WBC#3 ranked contenders, and get his shot at the WBC belt???.

Rios needs to earn the right to fight for the WBC title. He shouldnt "cut in line", unless he's scared to work his way up the ladder.

Rios needs to earn his WBC "stripes".

Maybe the IBF will just hand Peterson the mandatory spot? HBO would love that.

His brother-Anthony Peterson was the #1 WBC ranked and mandatory contender to Humberto Soto's WBC Lighweight Belt, and Anthony chickened-out and turned down a shot at the WBC 135lbs title and ducked Soto.

Its been over 9 months since he last fought, and still doesnt want to fight for Soto's WBC Title, cause he's scared, just like Linares, Guerrero, Marquez, Pacman, Morales, barrera, Acosta, Valero (when he was alive), were all scared to fight Soto.

The only one that said he would fight Soto is the brainless-Brandon Rios, cause Rios has no idea the danger he is getting himself into, if he stepped in the ring with Soto, cause Soto would decapitate Rios very easily, cause Rios is a "sitting duck" for Soto's bombs.

Espn to the 4th prefight of a HBO telecast that won't show quality undercards. This fight was a good middle of the road test for both boxers. I honestly wish that fight would have happened on that night and the whole card would have been a PPV event. That way more money for these good undercards and a oppurtunity for me to watch quality fights. Belie e me I have paid for alot of crap undercards with the PPV being average at best.

it was fun when we could all watch boxing for free, years ago on NBC Budweiser Boxing with Ferdie pacheco, Marv Albert, then CBC Sports Boxing w/ Tim Ryan on Saturdays during the day.

Peterson has beaten no one. No one. He was offered the most money he has ever been offered before, a world title shot, and (if he won) another 350k and another HBO date.

He turned it down because he knew he would loose, and wanted more money if he was going to pick up another L. Pure and simple.
