True or false? With a strong HW division Pacquiao/Mayweather would at the very least have a co-most wanted fight. That aside its really simple. Floyd can fight anywhere in the world and pack it out at this point. Canelo is restricted to region. Of course he packs the house in Mexico damn he's Mexican? 15000 in an arena and 1.4 million spending 50 to 60 bucks to see you is two different things. If he headlines a PPV right now it will be disappointing. Are you gonna pay it to see him fight Martirosyan? Hell no is the answer. He would have to a an all time undercard for that PPV to take flight. My point is he is gonna need help in way or another so he may as well get it in the form of the top PPV guy around. Damn he atleast needs an opponent to create some buzz and Cotto is the only possible that brings a buzz. Who else?

That's true. I doubt having Canelo vs Mayorga on the card will increase the buys by much anyway.

then putting him in the pvf/ortiz under card does not make good business sense for the promoters as well..........

i may be just hitting the moon here, but maybe he is only showing his distaste with pbf and would not wish to add his fans, small number may be, but he would not just want to be part of pbf/ortiz cards...his personal choice
