The only reason I would jump at the opportunity is because the PPV buying market is different than the BAD or WCB viewing public. Those that buy PPVs are usually repeat buyers and he has a chance to open up to a wider and different market. If he fights a nice name opponent who'll fight back and make it interesting, he only ups his name recognition. Its a small loss today with a bigger payout tomorrow. Or a small deposit in the bank today with compounding interest working in his favor.

He's only 20 and I expect his view to be a bit more narrow, perhaps his advisors and his daddy, DLH can talk him down some.

imho the kid is ill advised, it may be right assusmption he is stepping backward as undercard, but its a mayweather card, with approximately 1 million buys, in the process he would be stepping forward 2 steps, maybe 3 ...

Being showcased in a huge boxing event that other ppl wouldn't watch him regularly is not a bad idea. Somebody has to explain how it works to him cause he has not clue.

It is easy to look good against slow fighters with no power. He has improved but he is not as popular as he might think he is

I am saying right now. He is learning English to have cross over appeal. In no way at this point of his career he is as popular as Oscar. Do a lil research before typing like this and see how much ODLH got for his first fight and when he got his first title shot

                wrong and wrong.

Dude has PLENTY of exposure........if that was such a good idea, why has no other name draw ever done it at a similar stage in their career.

                Very shortsighted answers.

After Oscar headlined HBO fights, did he happen to fight on anyone else's PPV undercards? What about after he was pulling in excess of 10,000 in the US AND Mexico any time he wanted?

Did he after he was having 1.5 million watching his HBO headlined fights and was on the cover of magazines like the Ring and all over the news and was called a superstar?

ODLH was already a star from the olympics. The comparison between him and Canelo are not a good one.

Yet to see Canelo vs a live opponent. I like the guy but now completely on his bandwagon

I agree about him fighting on Mayweather PPV, it will be a great way to showcase his talent to the PPV public.

But I believe the kid has already made up his mind, he already has a promotional company and doesn't believe he needs Mayweather, but we will have to see what Oscar thinks about that.
