    probably about it..
-No one cares about Okami, thats a joke fight with Silva IMO, just cause the UFC is goign to Rio correct?
-Jones vs Jackson is a decent fight, but Jackson hasn't been **** for a while, and didnt he lose to that other black guy? So why is jones fighting the loser of that fight? Ya they get the fights the fans want alright.
    -Never heard of those guys
Griffin is a bum and Shogun has lost 2 or 3 of his last 4 fights.

Lol what did you just say?

Anyways, UFC ratings are at an all time low on ****e, PPV's have been dissapointing, and Guys keep getting inured. The injury part will never change either.

The two things are totally independent of each other and I doubt how well one sport is doing is having any effect at all on the other.

I don't really care too much for MMA, but the next six months is something that's been overdue in boxing. It's gonna be great.

Ugh, sure it does. If there was no MMA us fight fans would only have one option. But, now, there's two options for fight fans, not everyone who is a fight fan will buy every PPV.

Like me for instance, there are times where i chose to order a boxing PPV over an MMA PPV or the other way around(or ordered both on the same month, but not everyone does this).

Now, lets just say MMA never existed, this was once true, ya know. So, they might not be competing for the same fans all the time, but I'm sure, that having this option makes the competition for PPVs stiffer.

Here's an analogy, way back when, only F*rd sold cars, guess what's happened since then. How about when the Model T was the only option, but today you have SUVs, coupes, sedans, pickups.

If the Model T was invented today along with many of the different types of automobiles out there today, do you think it would sell as much as it did way back when ?

No ones forcing anything down my throat !!

As huge a PAC fan as I am. I've boycotted his most recent fights by not ordering it. I could never stand Wifebeater, and he has never made a penny off of me. We all have the option, no ones forcing anything on us. The power is in your fingers, or to be more specific our thumbs, lol

Most fans like one sport much more than the other, just read the comments here on a boxing forum about MMA so neither is in any way competition for the other.....also no one orders MMA PPVs other than the bars ppl go to in order to watch the fights for like a $5 fee rather than $50 for the event.

It's a weird sport. From last night, you have a guy like Barnett that just wants to wrestle and pound opponents, and then you have a guy like Overreem who just wants to box and has no interest in the wrestling, submission stuff. Makes for boring fights.

Most MMA fans are EX- Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair or I just got to old to watch fake wrestling so I must watch the real stuff

#1 I agree to a certain extent. Again, it goes back to having options nowadays. Not everyone is a 100% loyal to just one sport. I consider myself a boxing fan first and foremost. But, I ain't st*pid either. It comes down to matchups for me. If an MMA PPV looks like it has a better card on paper compared to a boxing PPV being shown around the same time. Guess what, my favorite sport, boxing, ain't gettin' my $$$, I'm ordering that MMA PPV because I think Its gonna provide better entertainment, Now, how many fight fans do you think have the same way of thinking

#2 That's where you're wrong, buddy. UF*'s PPV #s have been consistently high compared to boxing(which comes down to two names, really)

Eventhough I consider myself to be a fight fan first, but, I lean towards boxing. The fact that MMA is that other option. My hard earned $$$ is definitely spreaded between the two. Now, if MMA hadn't come along, guess what, I'll probably end up buying up more boxing PPVs. How is that not forming a competition.

People who like watching fights but were born pre-UFC only had one option, boxing. Well, today, there's two areas of pro-fighting they can choose from. So, boxing is not getting the same attention as it used to. How is that not competing with each other.
