    It's in the books: Tarver goes down in history as the better man

    I love it. Everybody made excuses when Tarver pounded Roy the first time around and Roy got a decision (by a bogus wide margin) in a fight that Tarver drew with Roy. The rematch everybody said Tarver landed a lucky punch. That's all fine and dandy, but Tarver was ahead on the board, having pummeled Roy once and KO'ed him once. Now, it's all said and done. No excuses. It's history. Tarver goes down as the better man. Roy lovers/Tarver haters can cry me a river, but it's all over.

    Tarver = better than Jones

        I'd say he's better than Jones NOW...not sure what Jones is going to do now but I still think Tarver has at least 2-3 more years of showing us what he's doing to do and show.

          I still think a post Ruiz RJJ would beat Tarver, but as it stands Tarver is the better man. And after his post fight interview, with Merchant in the ring i have more respect for him.

              Yes well said, Tarver is a better fighter than Roy Jones and he ruined his career, going up to HW and then coming back down didn't ruin Jones, Tarver did.

              Go away Roy Jones your finished!

                You can't say Roy is better than Tarver. No matter what, you can never say Roy Jones was better than Antonio Tarver.

                Tarver beat all their common opponents while Roy lost to Johnson. Tarver KO'ed Harding and never lost to Griffin. Tarver is the better man. Roy is finished now and for history. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, you waste of space.

                  Roy Jones Jr would of kicked Tarver's ass about 3 years ago. Styles make fights and Tarver's long, rangy southpaw style is definitely trouble for Roy.
