I think floyd has a history of not making the weight on the said contract. So vice versa, pacquiao countered demand. So how was it buddy?

That's a terrible analogy. Boxing is a totally different sport. Each fight is different. Each fight negotiation includes petty stuff like type of glove, size of glove, size of ring, weight limits, rehydration weights, etc. Fighters negotiate in favor of their strengths all the time. If u are a puncher that likes to fight in your opponents chest, you'll negotiate for a certain glove type and ring size. And so on and so on. A better analogy would be Jordan dictating the distance of three point line to favor his perimeter skills. Or Brady dictating the size of the ball to favor is passing skills. Asking for drug testing that both fighters would undergo is a fair request in such an individually negotiated sport. Until boxers have a salary cap or apparel licensing agreements as a whole, you can bury that weak "insert Football or Basketball players name for comparison" routine.

Anyone who argues against drug testing is a moron. How would someone look telling a job employer, "nah, I don't want to take a random drug test, I'm good." The drug testing is not an unreasonable request.

But there are already drug tests. Pacquiao didn't refuse the standardized drug tests. Floyd wanted special tests for one fighter so he could opt out of the fight he'd lose. Heck, Manny eventually agreed to the tests with some terms of his own; this isn't just Floyd's show after all. It's all about negotiation.

That's all there is to it, son. Take a seat. Floyd punked out, no if's, and's, or but's about it.

Last I checked, the congressman has yet to agree to the FULL USADA testing, which includes to possibility of being tested at any time before the fight and several weeks afterwards. If that makes me a *****, so be it. What confuses the **** outta me is that if the congressman was as convinced as his legions of worshipers that Money was scared to fight him. Why not just agree to the full testing? I mean, Money supposedly isn't gonna fight him anyway right.

The fact that u have that "Floyd avoided Clottey like the plague" in your signature let's me know u have an agenda. Without the aide of the internet search engines u couldnt even name 5 fighters that Clottey has fought.

Mad respect to Marvelous Marv but he's a dumbass on this one. I wouldnt care if it was my mom Floyd is absolutely right on this. This is one of the biggest fights in boxing history. They have a chance to doesn this right. Marv knows that commissions are a joke. Floyd could ask for a lot but he's only asking for a clean fight. Marv is still bitter with boxing when he should be over it by now. Floyd is the smartest fighter of all time so far. Unfortunately Im sure Marv envies Floyd's brilliance. Stop hating Marv it's not a good look for you.

In my opinion, and that of many others Hagler is an ATG so he doesn't need anyone's either praise or criticism. He knows more about Commissions, Rules, Promoters etc than anyone that the whole Boxingscene posting illiterates can think of.

He spent his whole long caree from start to finish with Top Rank, and when Don King made "nice" to his mother, causing her to try to persuade Hagler to sign with King, he told her that "if you try to interfere with my business again I'll stop supporting you".
