Artur Grigorian - 17 Defenses

What do thay have in common. Yup none of them are in the HOF. They have the same accomplishments as Norris....guess what Norris has that they don't...Suagr Ray Leonard.

guys like Grigorian never beat a single top ten fighter, and was never considered the best in his division. Norris was considered the best 154lber for a while after McCallum and Jackson moved up.

Norris' win over Leonard has nothing whatsoever to do with him being in the HOF. hes in there because hes arguably the most accomplished 154lb fighter of all time.

1.Those I listed had 20, 17 and 20+ defenses. Can you say that about Norris?

besides, you have to read my prior post, its much more than not getting credit for doing what he's supposed to do, you're jumping in late.

he did what he was supposed to do vs an old guy, with noticeably declining skills, who had never fought in the weight class, who he bother to dry out 3 more pounds against, who had never fought even in the next weight division down not just the division he was fighting for that fight, and was at his most comfortable weight class 3-4 divisions lower.

THATS why he gets no credit for the fight

You gotta admit that there isnt a WW out there that could make JMM look like that except Floyd. No its not a career defining win but it did make a big statement to Roach and crew. Similar to Pac destroying DLH though it was under peculiar circumstances. I give the Marquez fight credit for what it was. A "look what I can do Pacquiao" type of match. Nothing to brag about and also nothing to ignore either.

I presume the point he is making is Joppy beat Duran and was a 2 time Champion so in theory with that name attached to his resume regardless to the fact he was shot then shouldn't he be in the HOF?

We will have to agree to disagree on Terry Norris because although I don't believe he's an ATG I do believe he is rightfully in the HOF and I don't believe for a second it has anything to do with the fact he beat a shot Ray Leonard.

There are so many fighters who DID NOT make the HOF even tho they beat legends. Why not at least compare it to somebody who made long defenses like Norris did instead a lousy Joppy comparison.

This is Floyds style, so what you have really just proved is that floyd outclassed that ass without using his weight to bully and tire marquez out.
