if martinez wants big fights against cotto, pac, floyd, alvarez etc....why did he just sign a 6 fight deal with dibella? how is that going to get him big fights? martinez loves what he's doing. fighting unworthy challengers who have almost no chance to beat him and making millions. ah life is good.

Come on man, name a serious threat to Martinez at MW ?

      Paul Williams, again ?

      The uncornerable Sturm ?

And, will Martinez really be " making millions " from a Barker fight ?

Is this simply a stay-busy fight, and an opportunity to gain some marketing exposure in Europe ?

      Damned if I know.

I would like Sturm as well, but he has been pretty hard to corner since the Hoya fight, aside from him, what other noteworthy fighter deserved a mention?

Those who were " forgotten " cannot be compared to those who weren't.

Not cleaned out, but owned, Martinez is the man at MW, no question.
There isn't a question, but you can't just make it up like Martinez is dominating middleweight. He's fought two middleweights.

Not only is there a huge gap between Martinez and the rest of the division, there is a gap between the two guys he beat and the rest of the division.

He has knocked off the only threats, and is clearly the dominant middleweight.
