No need to hate on Sergio, Cotto can defend himself over statements like these. Sergio is just trying to get a big money fight and to establish himself, much like others before him. I would love to see cotto-martinez and I actually don't see it as a one sided fight. Cotto has the skills to make it a tough fight but i would still favor martinez for a dcn. He's not this unbeatable machine and we all know neither is cotto. So let him continue this and let him call out the likes of cotto and chavez jr. since there is no reason for him to go to higher weights.
Sergio Martinez: "Miguel Cotto Has No Balls"

A slick guy like Sergio though having that size advantage is painful. I'd love to see the fight, but I agree it shouldn't happen. At this point I just want to finally see Sergio get in some intriguing fights at 154. I feel like the names there are just perfect for him.
Him and cotto is fireworks I think. I feel like they are both made for each other. Cottos worst performances are Torres, Margi, Clottey and Pacman - a 'close' fight with Shane can be thrown in there.
What all of these men had in common is they aren't movers. They stood there ground. Which meant cotto couldn't really admire his work (a TERRIBLE habbit he has, he 'poses' after landing flush). Cottos best performances however have been against boxers. He absolutely destroys boxers.
I think Martinez trying to do his thing on the outside makes him tailor made for a guy like Cotto. And i believe that goes both ways.. with cotto ear muffing and getting set each time before throwing makes him a guy Martinez should want to fight.. because martinez can throw while moving in all angles.
It's just a great fight IMO and one i'd like to see. Obviously Canelo is there as well and WIlliams/Lara winner is there. CIntron/Molina winner as well. I'm interested, definitelyComment
