I agree, though, both fan base are pretty extreme, but with what you listed for Pacquiao, with the exception of this conspiracy theory, is valid.

I dont think anything fishy is going on here. To me they look like the 16 oz training gloves. Maybe its because they were using 10oz not the usual 8 oz he wears. I know they switched to foam now instead of horse hair. These might be the foam ones.

16oz sparring gloves and 8oz sparring gloves are two totally different animals

sparring gloves are made for protection thus foam that is firmer and more resilient.
