The best body fat for boxing

I'm at about 7% body fat and was wondering what the ideal body fat for boxing is. I'm at 170lbs right now but plan on eventually fighting at heavy weight.

Yes it's me in my avi. I do heavy weighted sit ups, weighted v ups, bicycles, and handing leg raises.

This is boxing related. And I'm not asking about how to get to a certain body fat. ie, training and nutrition.

I heard u actually need a little body fat since oxygen stores in your fat cells.

I've heard that as well. That's why I'm wondering.

i wouldn't go any lower than 5.5%. 7% is probably ideal TBH. Most people don't know this, but you need some degree of fat as it protects your organs. If you are one of those rare people who can get under 5% or even under 3% as some people can, it's actually not good as when you take knocks your internal organs are more at risk.

Yeah I'm not planning on going any lower than 7% atm. When I get to my goal weight I might drop down to 6% but that's a long time from now.
