Does Floyd hit as hard as Cotto, Mosely or even Plasterless Margarito?

1 thing we do know is that Floyd would NEVER win on KO over Pacman.

Manny Pacquiao: Total punches landed/thrown against Marquez/Diaz/Oscar/Hatton/Cotto/Clottey/Margarito/Mosley

      Landed:1,964
      Thrown: 5,926

I don't think even Paul Williams has threw that many punches in his last eight fights. Pacquiao is an all-around offensive beast.

I keep hearing how Margarito nearly stopped him with a body shot in the 6th.. which is it?

It's not just about power either.. Floyd has fast hands and the punches you don't always see can be even worse then full blooded power shots which you can see coming frm big guys like Cotto/Margarito

Yep and go check the stats for guys who weren't walking punch bags like Clottey/Margarito... his output went down dramatically vs Mosley/Marquez

Punches that hurt the most are those that are unexpected, that is what floyd is good at, other guys are throwing punches, not expecting to be countered but floyd always seems to be in a position to either land his first or dodge them and land his

thats what floyd is best at imo people expect to get hit a lot vs pac, he throws so many and is a pure offensive machine with his combinations and angles but still the accumulation of punches kills them when they fight pac

floyd does seem to get the guys he fight tired though, making them miss and landing his own

it will certainly be an interesting fight, i know floyd wont hurt pac, i think pac will win via decision, his activity alone will win him majority of the rounds

No Floyd doesn't have as much 1 punch power as those 3.But he has more power than Marquez who has sliced the Pacman punch output in half in their fights.Floyd also moves better than Mosley who managed to survive while being shot.Compairing Floyd's power to those 3 doesn't really make it valid.A better comparison would be Marquez.Only Floyd is bigger, stronger, faster,a better counter puncher, has the better chin & is just better period. Can Floyd mimick Marquez when he fights Pacman & use what the smaller Marquez did,but do it better, because he's bigger & get the "W" that eluded Marquez twice??

Floyd can punch. He may not carry 1 Hit K.O. but there is some pop in his punches.

However, that doesn't mean a single thing in terms of his fight with Pacquiao.

No, but he has enough power to stop you in your tracks and make you think twice.

People forget that Mayweather Jr is naturally smaller than all those three, just like Pacquaio. It's also one of the reasons why he questions Manny's ability to take their punches.
