    What are Victor's real chances?

Does he have a shot at beating Mayweather? If so HOW?

Watching Maidana, Peterson, Berto its very obvious Ortiz is a sucker for right hand bombs and pull counters. He doesn't move his head and he doesn't know how to hold. I think he's very green. Is the only way he wins if is if he gets lucky? Mayweather has this one in the bag. Very smart choice of opponents. The dude knows boxing.

Victor Ortiz can't lose. This isn't a fat lightweight or a senior citizen. Ortiz is a monster and he will stop Gayweather in round one.

        he could outwork floyd

floyd is way to cautious in even in fights he is dominating which in return can hurt the scoring of a fight example

floyd fight with oscar. he clearly won the fight by a 9-3 margin but he threw so sparingly that he only managed to win a split decision

floyd himself could legitimately lose the fight just because he doesnt risk anything in a fight

i know floyd is a great techincal fighter but since he has fought at welter and above i do not see an unbeatable fighter in there

i see a guy that is overly cautious that can be out worked

I don't think Ortiz has much chance. About 5% at best. Floyd is just too seasoned for him. Maidana made him quit.

Floyd is going to beat him decisively.

If the old Floyd shows up, very slim. If ring rust gets to an aging Floyd, this could be interesting.

50/50. Ortiz has a zero chance of beating Maidana tho in a rematch. It doesn't matter at what weight.

So in other words you're saying the fight should have not been made?

If Victor lands the same shot Mosley landed on Floyd.....

Its not outside the realm of possibility.

Floyd is eventually going to get hit. By a legit fighter that actually fights at this weightclass. Im very interested to see how he approaches this.

A few reasons I think it could be interesting:

                    1. Floyds vaction/Layoff
                    2. Legit, although greeeeeen, opponent. Fully comfortable at this weight. (And huge to boot)
                    3. Ortiz wont gass out.
                    4. Isnt afraid to get hit, or get off the deck to keep fighting.
                    5. If Floyd sees this as a warm up for Manny...
                    6. Ortiz has decent hand speed and decent pop.

                    That being said....

Floyd is better in every catagory there is.

I honestly see it coming down to Ortiz's lack of mental toughness. If Maidana hurts you, frustrates you, and makes you quit.

                    Floyd certainly can.
