Although you do make a great point about future fights.
    Reply to your points:

    1. Maybe but you can't tell for sure, are you aware that Khan did in the excess of 100,000 ppv buys for the kotelnik fight. Lets be honest they weren't tuning in to watch kotelnik thats for sure.
    2. Yes sky did all the promoting but nobody even knows what primetime is in the uk.
    3. Pretty sure most people know who he is he fought in scotland vs Jnr witter. But then again most Khan fans don't know who the boxers he is facing are, they just want to see khan.

I know nothing about the politics of sky tbh. I would think Judah and Bradley would be great opponents considering those are competitive fights and they can play the American Vs uk thing.

But again, I have no clue how things work over there.

But I do wish hbo had a uk commentator for fights when a uk fighter is fighting. That could be very cool.

"I'll be meeting with Primetime and Sky when I'm in the UK next," said Schaefer.

"I'll discuss with them and others the overall structure of working with Golden Boy.

"We are one family, Amir and Golden Boy. If anyone turns their back on Amir, they turn their back on Golden Boy. We want a long-term relationship."
Goldenboy are doing an excellent job of massaging Khan's ego here. I'm hoping Khan gets with Sky soon but if they don't fron the cash I'm sure plenty will pay for Primetime.

If you're gonna watch that fight live you'll pay. All you have to do is make sure its in the papers.

Sky havent treated Khan very well imo.
I think the problem is that Khan is promoted by his own promotional company in the UK, which is run by his family - he doesn't have a proper UK promoter and his family are amateurish promoters. GBP is his US promoter but GBP has no influence with Sky. From that point of view he was much better off with Warren (prick though he is), as he is a very professional promoter (even though he's an objectionable person in many respects) and has a very strong relationship with Sky.

I don't think this hurts khan as much because he did 70,000 ppv buys on primetime not forgetting that was with only 1-2 weeks notice. I think khan-judah on primetime will definately do more than 70,000 easily. Sky have to think about the future here, if he does get past judah and then bradley he is the main man to fight mayweather, thats like 800,000 ppv buys like the hatton fight. Not to mention future fights with cotto, alveraz, Ortiz, berto etc... thats some huge fights for him, and alot of money to be made of it. Sky have lost out big time here, Haye will retire after 1-2 fights, froch is 34 and a loss for him would be a big set back.

Looks like primetime will be making alot of money in the near future.
Primetime don't even have 800,000 subscribers or anywhere near, and never will have. Khan will jump back to Sky the moment Sky let him. I'm pretty certain that the reason they have shunned him for now is his amateurish UK promotional outfit.

Khan picked a rubbish opponent and needed a solid undercard. The undercard fell through and Sky decided that it wasn't good enough for the paying customers. Maybe if more tv stations were like this we would get better fights. Khan decided to jump ship and now he must face the music for his disloyalty. Sky offered him sky sports 3 because there were already other events happening on the other channels. You expect Sky to choose an Amir Khan fight with a rubbish opponent and poor undercard over a Champions League football game? Don't assume they don't want to show Khan vs Judah because nobody knows Judah. They don't want to show that fight because they want to put Khan in his place. That's the price of jumping ship. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Imstill gutted that Bradley ducked Khan, this article reminded me of that.Sky will lose out big time in the long run,Haye will be retired soon and Froch will suffer a big setback if he loses too Ward, plus he is no spring chicken himself.Britain has some good young prospects coming through but Khan is the only young established fighter on the world scene and he brings it all,no doubt Sky will regret their decision
