Ortiz is right now being described as fodder for Floyd but a good fight for Pacquiao, why?? Because Floyd is better than Paquiao and YOU know it!
I get what you are saying and i somewaht agree. im always a little thrown when peolpe talk about pac being a better fighter in the last fews years. I dont see it. I see his promoter putting him in with guys that fit his style. that doesnt mean he got better. that just means hes still good at what he was always good at. Pac problem has always been technical fighters. He has a problem with guys that can fight from the back foot. He cant adjust. though all his fights since the last jmm fight have brought excitment they havent showed if he improved on his flaws. Thats why it wouldnt surprise me if that fight happens that it is very boring. All i see is floyd moving, pac lunging out of position and getting countered to long boring decision.

As of last week May-Ortiz was a fantasy fight that many claimed chicken Floyd would never take, as soon as he signs Victor is now an overated bum, when Floyd signs to fight Pacquiao, step back and marvel how many people jump off the Pacwagon, they dont want to ride a sinking ship.

The day Floyd-Pac is signed, Pac is going to go from Fighter of the decade to overated midget who dont belong at welterweight in a matter of hours. And then we'll be flooded with Floyd should fight Martinez at 160 threads!

To be honest with you, In the beginning (2 years ago), I use to think Mayweather would beat Pacquiao easily, But right now am not so sure anymore, Even now am leaning towards a Pacquiao win.

I've thought about this as well, and fact of the matter is....there isn't anybody like Floyd right now in the game...Pacquiao could use Bradley, because he's a smart and a multifaceted, capable fighter to prep for Mayweather or he could force Zab Judah to fight from an orthodox stance in sparring, and maybe get a similar display out of him...but that's as close as you can get and still be kinda far off...unfortunately. Pacquiao could use a guy like Brad Solomon and/or Amir Khan in sparring, I think that could help some because of some of the nuances in their styles.

Mayweather wouldn't have it that easy either to prep for Pacquio but it could be less difficult. Floyd could use Victor Ortiz to get accustomed to the punching power and Victor might actually throw harder than Manny...it's hard to gauge with only one welterweight fight from the guy, I dunno. Also, Mayweather could use Zab Judah in sparring to prepare for the speed and angles of the punches in his training camp.

Floyd and Manny are unlike any fighter fighting within or around their weight class, as hard as they prepare, they'll find out something new in the ring against each other.

If Floyd rout's Ortiz, as many predict, May-Pac isn't going to happen, Arum wont take the risk, especially with OST in play. Every advantage Mayweather, Yeam Pac is trying hard to find some kind of way to diminish Floyd's advantages, hopefully that lawsuit will work out for them.

There's a reason why Floyd is holding up this fight. Fantasy fights are good, but reality is Floyd can't even pick up the phone and make this fight happen. Ball is entirely on his court.

That will always be the impression no matter how you spin it. But it's good that he's finally fighting.

                Leave Floyd alone, Pac fans.

You're too biased flower. Look at **** from both sides of the fence. Both teams are in fault for this god damn fight not happening. It's ****** to put the blame all on one guy or one promoter if you haven't been there in the negotiations. You're gonna be biased towards Floyd, so you're going to believe anything that n*gga says, the same goes for Pacquiao when Arum says some wild ****. Makes you no better than the next n*gga who's just trying to ride the tails of their favorite athlete.

****CENSORED. DO NOT USE THE N WORD HERE.

WHy is the ball in floyd's court. He compromised in January 2010 and went with 14 day cutoff. Manny said no fight. Even if you hate floyd is that not a fair compromise, especially when he agreed to all Manny's requests?

People who are describing Ortiz as a good fight for pacquiao have no idea what they are talking about, it would end the same way as there sparring sessions, with Ortiz hurt on the floor, and an earlier than scheduled finish. Pacquiao and mayweather are equally dominant, they are on a different level. They have to settle it in the ring, there is no way it will be a one sided fight...NO WAY
