its a good win and better win then pacs last three fights imoWe know Ortiz has a brutal loss against Maidana.
We know Ortiz has a very nice win against Berto.
We know Ortiz is young and strong.
What does beating Ortiz do for Mayweather's legacy?
Is it enough to put Mayweather back in the p4p#1 spot?
Is it enough to increase his ATG rankings?
What boxing followers want to know is what does this fight do for Mayweather?Comment

solid win. nothing legendary, but it certainly is a good addition to his list of wins. assuming he wins.
but as usual, many people overrate the hell out of the win, and others will completely downplay it, instead of just recongnising it for what it actually is.Comment

Exactly it largely depends on what Ortiz does after Mayweather since he is still young and has been inconsistent.Comment

Victor Ortiz will stop Gayweather in round one. He has never faced an opponent like Victor Ortiz; young, hungry, fast, powerful, explosive, prime, southpaw, with good foot work, and a twelve round gas tank. Gayweather won't know what hit him and Victor Ortiz will become boxings new SUPERSTAR!

This win as it is doesn't do very much because Ortiz at the moment is an unknown factor.
If Ortiz has a good showing in the fight and then after the fight continues to preform well it will be great for Mayweather's legacy.
If Ortiz doesn't do well and never accomplishes anything in his career then it does nothing for his career.
The effect this fight has on Mayweather's legacy wont be known until a future date cause we don't know enough about Ortiz's legacy.
