It has no major bearing on my view of the fight, but don't both Pac and JMM have fight night weights that are inside of 1 or 2 lbs of one another? Somewhat nullifying the ultimate effects of the difference..

Real boxing fans remember Ortiz wasn't even in the top 10 in his division. Real boxing fans remember Berto was untested @ WW
Real boxing fans are excited for both fights but realize both are far from perfect (JMM's weight and Ortiz is an unproven "hot right now" ticket only)

True. But If manny has to come down and marquez has to come up they both give up something in training camp that could affect the fight outcome.

i know...i'm a pacfan and i always opined that the fight should be at 140. or better yet, not fight jmm at all since they're 2 weights apart now. but if you noticed, most of these pac-jmm critics are floyd fans and we all know that floyd-jmm was a ppv blockbuster so you'll know there's a lot of hypocrisy going on right now in this forum
don't get me wrong i'm not saying pac-jmm doesn't deserve criticisms because it does but everbody knows who is being consistent or not.

I guess i can appreciate both fights but pac deserves criticism looking at his past 2 fights and now this! Pac should have settled this marquez in 2008 or 2009 while he was still fresh and at a weight he looked good at!!! Arum has ruined this guy pac imo! But hes an atg no doubt

              Both fights are good.

Hopefully this will finally lead to Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

If not look for Mayweather vs Khan/Alvarez and Pacquiao vs Bradley/Judah

I'm not excited about either fight. Pac-Marquez is pointless and Mayweather-Ortiz wont be competitive, so whats to get excited about?

Ward-Froch I am excited about, thats a real fight. The two best in the world at their weight desperate to find out who's best, no BS. Floyd and Manny should take note and hang their heads in shame.

^^^this. I'm a fan, I'm getting fights, not much to be angry about there.

^^^^Now that's a fight bro, I'm still on the sidelines on it. I'll be watching lots of film in the next few months to try and make a decent prediction. It's hard to go against Ward, but I'm one of those people that have been rather surprised by Froch ever since his Abraham bout, and really the relative ease of which he's UD'd these dudes. We can knock Abraham for being reluctant and Johnson for his age and maybe some weight issues but he still did his thing...I dunno, I'm excited for this fight, should be good.

Yeah, I am leaning towards Ward on that one, but Froch is gonna make him ****in earn it. Cant wait!!!
