I'll be buying both fights for sure so I guess technically I'm looking forward to them. I'm not a fan of the pac jmm fight and it has nothing to do with the weight. I've seen that movie twice and i know how it ends. If u need one guy to cut weight just to make the fight competitive, maybe there shouldn't be a fight in the first place. But I will watch it, I'll have a party, it will probably produce fire works, and more then likely I'll be happy I spent the 55 bucks.

This Mayweather Ortiz fight has me super pumped, not because I'm expecting a brawl or anything, this is just the first floyd fight at 147 to get me excited in a long time. Both fights will shine a good light on boxing and that's always a good thing. This is turning out to be one hell of a year all around.

He had much bigger fish to fry then marquez. Looking back at the results it's hard to even begin to argue he made the wrong decision.

Real boxing fans are excited for both fights but realize both are far from perfect (JMM's weight and Ortiz is an unproven "hot right now" ticket only)
Imo this is the point. The negatives of either fight can be cancelled out by the other. And since cases can also be made for why this could be exciting, the best thing is to look to that. Especially since at the end of the day we're all going to watch these fights.

I think the May/Pac conversation is more interesting when it's actually about discussing the fights/future and not just ****ting on them.

Exactly, and I always enjoy any opportunity to get my more casual boxing fan friends to talk and watch boxing. Both these fights will afford that opportunity. 2011 is solid.

Both fights can be shat on, but judging from your post I'm sure you're too narrow minded to comprehend that.

According to the "real boxing fans" on this forum Mayweather gets no credit for beating Marquez at welter so why should Pac??

I hear u and I agree. The only thing I'd counter with is styles make fights, and pac isn't gonna out weigh jmm by 10-15 pounds the way mayweather did. But hey, I'm not pumped about the fight either so give or don't give as much credit as u like.

If it produces fire works I'll be more then happy. As long as me and my drunk ass friends have a good time, that's what I'm paying my money for. It is entertainment at the end of the day, we all probably take it a little to seriously.
