Furthermore, my post is more directly addressing posters who feel the need to relentlessly bash one or the other. And as clearly stated in the first post, both fights can be dissected and disparaged. Both matchups will bring attention to boxing and have the potential to produce fireworks. Boxing fans need to man up and stop hating.
Ofcourse Im watching the fight. And 9 times out of 10 it will be a war that I'll end up enjoying. It takes me a while for Pacs fight to sink in. Usaully fight night it hits me like"Oh shyt its going down can the old man do it?".

    Might happen again.

Im watching the fight but the 3 fights that have my attention for 2011 are:

    Wlad vs. Haye
    Ward vs. Froch
    Mayweather vs. Ortiz

If you want your favorite fighter's greatness to be fully proven, than the bigger better fight should be what you want. I don't see how it makes sense to pull for a hiccup so your road to greatness is slightly easier. To be great, these guys need great adversaries. And Pacquiao and Mayweather fill those roles perfectly for one another.
Marquez pulling off the upset would be like a fairytale. My happiness for Marquez would be greater than my disappointment at a dent being put in the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight (which may not happen anyway). And I would just love the see the aftermath of the upset; it would be absolutely hilarious.

The fight would be MORE compelling at 140, but I don't think that alone is worthy at all of completely throwing the fight out the window.

When you put it that way, I can definitely see being happy for a JMM win.

Those fights are all great. 2011 is ridiculous. Imo ppl need to give Haye a slightly better chance in that matchup.

floyd-ortiz definitely looks like a better matchup than pac-jmm. what will happen in the ring though is another story. we've seen how people wrote-off the morales-maidana fight and it turned out an exciting one. same thing could happen, floyd-ortiz can end up boring while pac-jmm turns up exciting or vice versa. this is not the right time to hate...let's see the results first before we judge.

This is their way of saving face. Pacquiao-Marquez at welter deserves NO props from any REAL boxing fan.
