Khan will try to outbox him and gtfo in the process. He has no defense at all. Look at his face after Lil Paulie got done.
    No, he doesn't.

Victor only has strentgh going for him. He doesn't set his punches up and gets frustrated when he gets jabbed. He is gonna get countered and is gonna hit air all the time. I don't see this fight going past 10.

Although a slim one, Amir has a better chance in beating Floyd.

And for you to say Ortiz will rush Floyd just shows how much you know about boxing and Ortiz as a fighter.
I haven't really put too much thought in what I think Ortiz will do. But at a glance I assumed he'd try to rush Mayweather and attempt to hurt him before he could settle into a rhthym and get comfortable. I'm definitely open to other possibilities..

IMO the Maidana fight set Victor back big time, and the Berto win was just a smoke screen Victor. Now this isn't me ****ting on Victor because I'm a person who want's him to suceed. IMO I just wanted him to take a couple of fights before stepping up against Floyd or Manny (although I guess with Floyd and Manny's age, a shot like this may never come again).

Also, fwiw, I have been saying this since the night of the Berto fight. I felt it was more Andre being overrated than Ortiz being good that night. Just my two cents, but neither Pacquiao vs Marquez and Ortiz vs Mayweather will be competitve at all. I expect TKO or KO stoppages in both.
I have long been a detractor of Vic a lot of people on here know this

however I am going to defend him a bit on this

I think the vast majority of Vic's issues stem from his brain stem. The talent to compete with Floyd is there. He's big fast and can punch. What's been missing has been what's between his ears and to me a large part of that was remedied by facing the fire against Berto. He ****** it up even though there were opportunities for him to fold like he did with both Maidana and Peterson. People harp on the Maidana fight but I think the Peterson fight was a far more disappointing showing because he literally had LPete at his mercy in round 3 and let him not only off the hook but back in the fight.

he knew this and swore to us he changed his approach, no more nice Vic in the ring. It showed IMO with Berto as he closed the show strongly.

if that Vic shows up I think he is a live dog. Physically this may be the most imposing guy in there with Mayweather since Castillo.

mentally he has to be willing not to get discouraged with what Mayweather is doing in there. That's the key to me.

if he can stay true I like his chances over anyone 154 and below not named Manny

Both guys have comprable chances against Mayweather imo. Personally I prefer the Ortiz matchup from a spectator's perspective b/c he's more likely to come guns blazing caution to the wind.

I don't think Amir beats Floyd at this point in his career but he does have the best chance out of anyone 147 below (I'm excluding Manny).

He has a ton of confidence, whereas Ortiz isn't back mentally.

He is faster than Ortiz, has a better Jab, better footwork, uses his height and sets up his punches better.

I think Ortiz is a talented fighter, but I feel he needs a few more fights as I feel the Berto fight was a smoke screen victory.....ala Mosley beating Margarito.

Floyd will massacre him, just watch.

I wanna see how Amir is at 147. I expect him to be even better than he is now at 140.

                    I agree.

Floyd is gonna frustrate the **** out of Ortiz. How will Victor react? He can't outbox Floyd... but he can't go wild on Floyd either because Floyd will be jabbing and countering him to death.

I think this is a fine matchup. But my question is this. How is Ortiz going to approach putting his offence on Mayweather? I don't think he can land power left crosses without setting them up. His jab is not very good, so it's difficult to see why Mayweather will ever be in position to have a big punch land on him.

As a result I think Ortiz' best chance of putting his arsenal on Mayweather is trapping him along the ropes. Which means to some extent he will be forced to rush Mayweather. If he spends the early rounds rushing Mayweather and does not get him out of there.. He could be in for a major boxing lesson rds 5-12. Throw in the fact that Ortiz doesn't duck right hands too well.. It seems crazy, but I think Ortiz' only chance is to try getting Mayweather out early.
