Mosley was ranked the #1 welter back when Mayweather fought him.

Back then Shane was the number #1 welter. Mosley had just KTFO Margarito and he could not land a Pac fight because Manny ducked him twice. Read the article again.

No need to "read it again". I didn't buy into the mosley hype back then, no reason I'd buy into it now. Looking back at the results I'd say my assessment was spot on. Mosley was damn near forty years old, and hadn't been in a boxing ring in almost 18 months, enough said right there. Mosley's win over margarito was over blown by everyone, given the circumstances.

That being said I'm not trying to knit pick, I wasn't hyped for that fight what so ever but I'm SUPER hyped for this one. Floyd really stepped up with this move and I'm very happy to see it. It's FAR better then that jmm vs pac cash grab that's coming in november. Props to floyd, hopefully after he takes ortiz to school and pac eats jmm, we can get the real fight we've all been waiting for.

Pac and Mayweather can fight whoever they want but that special magic of a superfight where there is electricity in the air will be missing till they fight each other. The most dissapointing thing is being a fan of Mayweather's for over 10 years and then seeing him turn into a low life when he talked about how he would **** Oscar...that changed my opinion.

Well everyone has their own excuses, it's pretty obvious why. and still lots of hates are being thrown around, discrediting the pac vs marquez fight when just months ago they're hating on pac not fighting marquez again over shane, then when the fight's made, people gotta descredit again with their own illogical reasons. they say pac's cherry picking his fights, yet why cant they apply the same to mayweather, hasnt he fought anyone bigger than him and not in his natural weight class? but still, even the marg fight was discredited. lol. hate really trumps logic here. non sense, some dudes here are just plain haters without logic and props for doing best as keyboard trolls.

Ortiz has a slim chance not because he is a bum but because floyd is great. Manny would never fight someone like this right now. Just deal with it. Everytime Manny refuses to fight floyd, floyd fights the BEST welter out there, NO CATCHWEIGHT. Lets see Manny do that!
