I'm looking forward to seeing Floyd fight a southpaw, which he hasn't fought since Judah. The early rounds should be interesting but I think Floyd will eventually take control. I'm glad that Vic will get this exposure, he deserves it after his performance against Berto.

Expanding on what I said I just hope that Victor can handle the entire spectacle mentally. In some of his interviews he still comes across as a really immature kid. I don't mean that in a negative way, per se, just the fact that he's still very young. The sheer scope of the event will be intimidating enough, but when you put him in with a legend like Mayweather it will get even more daunting.

His past three circus fights have me disillusioned with the guy.

it's a good fight.
I think there are two extremes on this board some saying this fight is terrible and others saying it's a GREAT fight. It's neither. It's a good fight, a solid fight, and the best fight for floyd at Welterweight besides pacquiao.
Ortiz still has a lot to prove. He's had one big win, and he showed heart and desire he never showed before. A fire was in him that night. He gets props for the Berto fight. I was a big critic of Ortiz on this board but he shut me up with that performance and made me have a change of heart of what I think of him as a person and as a fighter.
Ortiz has had two title fights, going 1-1.
Floyd has had about 18 title fights. So obviously Ortiz has to show us he belongs in there with the elite names.
With that said, I do expect floyd to dominate, even if ortiz has that same fire in him he had against berto. One reason I come to that conclusion is because Ortiz doesn't have much of a jab and imo if he wants to get inside on floyd he's going to need a strong jab to do that, or else he'll just be walking into counter shots all night. So unless he develops a great jab this training camp, I just don't see him being able to get inside and landing shots consistently and overpowering floyd.
I expect a mid to late TKO for Floyd or perhaps a UD with Ortiz touching the canvas once or twice.

Yet just weeks ago you thought Ortiz would be good on Pac's resume.

Floyd will start out slow and maybe look rusty. Ortiz by activity alone will steal a few of the early rnds. He might even catch Floyd with a few good power shots, maybe even wobble him but once Floyd settles in, its over. Floyd b UD. I do expect to see A slower Floyd though...
