voted pacquiao, i just think it's a bad matchup for pacquiao, he's not used to fighting southpaws (neither is victor, but it takes away each others comfort zone of fighting orthodox fighters), and what you have left is Ortiz who is bigger and stronger than Manny, and they will trade and exchange
Manny could easily knock him out, but I think Ortiz could KO Manny too during those exchanges
Floyd doesn't take risks and would just survive on points
Wouldn't be boring like the JMM/Floyd fight, it'd be more like the judah fight with a little more action since Ortiz isn't going to just stop fighting back like Judah didComment

Mosley didn't want to fight after the knockdown, his own corner even said so.Just like how young and at the peak of their prime guys like Clottey, Margarito, and 39 year old Shane Mosley with a 50 cent piece size blister on his foot and a torn ACL couldn't make it past four rounds. Yup, all those top ranked, young and hungry guys at the TOP OF THEIR GAME couldn't get past 4 rounds vs Pac.
Clottey is a big welter with a tight shell defense.
Margo has a chin, heart, and determination out of this world.
Although I agree that Ortiz would make it past 4 rounds, I just don't see the reason in bringing these fighters names into the debate. There were reasons they all made it past the 4th round. Not like they are all three bums that should have been KO'ed by the 4th...Or even stopped.
Let me ask you this ( now keep in mind I agree with you about the forth round thing, this is just a question)...
What do you think would happen if Ortiz was hit with the punch Shane was hit with in the third? You think Ortiz would run and lose all will to fight? Or do you think he would stand his ground? I think he would stand his ground. Leaving the door open for a early and easy night for Pac.
Now lets say that Ortiz was to cover up all night like Clottey. How long would you expect him to last? In all honesty, I would say 4 rounds at the most.
Lastly, let say that Ortiz took the punishment that Margo began to take from round 2, and on. How long do you see Ortiz lasting? Also I think Margo's eye got jacked in the 4th (if memory serves). Just remember (from Ortiz himself) he deservs better....
My point is, Ortiz is none of those 3 fighters. Ortiz is young and hungry, and very skilled. He also likes to ****. This could lead to and early night, or give Pac hell, and take the fight deep into the later rounds...Where he may even shock the world.
Nothing that happened in those other 3 fights, with the 3 fighters you mentioned, has any barring on what might happen in an Ortiz/Pac fight.
Ortiz makes it out of the 4th though.Comment

Well, this thread was started yesterday. It needs to be bumped then.Ortiz would have a better chance at beating Mayweather, definitely. Ortiz is young and never too late for him to improve his game. What I saw in the Berto fight was mental toughness and preparedness in dealing with any eventuality like kd's. He was determined to grab the belt and saw it being wrapped around his waist. He may display the same toughness against Pac, but Pac's punches would disorient him early on and discard any offensive game he may have planned. After feeling Pac's "power" it would all be defense for him from then on. A KO/TKO would then be imminent.
With Ortiz's blitz krieg style, Floyd would be forced to brawl in this fight. This is not a sure win for Floyd. It's 50/50 for me. That's why both are expected to be exciting fights. Pac needs to pursue this fight before May takes it.Comment
