It's like asking whether a bug has a better chance of getting squashed by a rock or a brick.

Mayweather would outclass Ortiz, make him look dumb and win at least 10 rounds.

Pac would beat him to a pulp and probably stop him by the 10th.

But to give a real answer to the hypothetical question, I guess there is a bigger chance of Pac aging overnight and Ortiz possibly edging him on the cards.

At the moment I can only see Ortiz beating past primed versions of the two, and based on styles, guys like Floyd age better than guys like Pac.

floyd's defense against southpaws is too good? he got hit a ton vs sanders mitchell, corley, judah, and spadafora. he had to **** with those guys to win. he couldn't sit back and outbox them. floyd fans should know this about floyd. his own dad who taught him his style does. "i don't want my son fighting souhpaws!" "i don't want my son fighting pacquiao!" there's a reason for those statements. he knows his son forfeits his biggest asset which is his defense vs southpaws and that's why he doesn't want him fighting them but floyd fans keep pretending like he's a defensive master against them. maybe some people just love too much.

Ortiz would have a better chance at beating Mayweather, definitely. Ortiz is young and never too late for him to improve his game. What I saw in the Berto fight was mental toughness and preparedness in dealing with any eventuality like kd's. He was determined to grab the belt and saw it being wrapped around his waist. He may display the same toughness against Pac, but Pac's punches would disorient him early on and discard any offensive game he may have planned. After feeling Pac's "power" it would all be defense for him from then on. A KO/TKO would then be imminent.

With Ortiz's blitz krieg style, Floyd would be forced to brawl in this fight. This is not a sure win for Floyd. It's 50/50 for me. That's why both are expected to be exciting fights. Pac needs to pursue this fight before May takes it.

I think that's its equal. Mayweather shuts him out and Manny KO's him. Both fighters beat him just as easy but in different fashions.

Ortiz beats the shit out of the Pac that fought Shane.

Ortiz gets his ass beat by the Floyd that fought Shane.

I think if Ortiz catches Mayweather same like Mosley did Floyd would at least get knockdown if not KO'd. also Ortiz is the type of fighter that people think would beat Floyd, a pressure southpaw with excellent power.

on the other hand Ortiz struggles with boxers and counterpuncher's so Floyd style would be a nightmare and Manny's style is better for victor

                  Neither.

Pacquiao clubs him like a baby seal, David Diaz style and KOs in the mid rounds.

                  Floyd wins a lopsided UD.

People need to stop with the overrating of Ortiz. Good young, B class fighter but it was just last year that he was only the #7 ranked guy in a talented JWW class. He was dominated and quit against a C fighter in Maidana and arguably lost to Peterson. Beating an even more overrated and untested glass-jawed, no stamina having Berto does not mean you can give those guys any trouble in the ring.

Victor should focus on Aydin, Senchenko, etc guys like that. He's too young to be taking a beating like that (again).

Come on man, Maidana is a B class fighter and a top contender and tough fight for ANY of the elite 140 lb fighters.
